Mengusung tema <em>Spirit of Heroes<\/em>. Gelaran ini menyuguhkan sejumlah sub acara berupa kompetisi yang menguji kemampuan, kecerdasan dan ketangkasan dalam menghadapi permasalahan kimia di lingkungan masyarakat.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;CW hadir untuk mengubah paradigma masyarakat yang masih berpikiran bahwa kimia identik dengan zat-zat berbahaya,&quot; jelas Ilham Maulana, koordinator acara pusat.<\/p>\n<p>Selaras dengan tujuannya, tahun ini CW disajikan dalam bentuk yang lebih unik dan menarik sehingga menambah ketertarikan masyarakat terhadap keilmuan kimia itu sendiri. Salah satunya adalah permainan bingo yang hadir dalam final National Chemistry Challenge (NCC). Diikuti oleh siswa SMA dari seluruh Indonesia, NCC mampu membuat ketegangan peserta semakin memuncak.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Benar-benar melatih peserta untuk berpikir lebih cepat dan tangkas dalam melewati setiap babak penyisihan,&quot; ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Tak hanya itu, acara ini juga kehadiran nuansa baru. Adalah Young Chemist (YC) dan Research of Applied Chemistry Competition (Reaction) yang menjadi wajah baru pada CW 2016 ini.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Pada Young Chemist ini kami mencari duta muda kimia yang mampu mensosialisasikan kimia ke masyarakat dengan cara menyenangkan. Sedangkan Reaction sendiri adalah kompetisi LKTI bagi mahasiswa yang mewajibkan pembuatan purwa rupa,&quot; papar mahasiswa asli Surabaya ini.<\/p>\n<p>Dirinya menambahkan Young Chemist menjadi ikon baru bagi CW yang nantinya akan banyak terjun ke masyarakat serta mendalami langsung keilmuan kimia. &quot;Ini membuktikan bahwa kami merujuk pada ketepatan sasaran tujuan Chemistry Week itu sendiri,&quot; terang Ilham.<\/p>\n<p>Ditemui pada malam puncak kegiatan tahunan ini yakni Spectrum, Sabtu (10\/9). Mahasiswa yang gemar memasak ini mengharapkan Chemistry Week mampu membuat kimia memiliki tempat di hati masyarakat sehingga tidak ada lagi kata enggan dalam mempelajarinya.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Kami berharap peserta bisa membawa pulang pengalaman menarik yang mampu menstimulus lingkungannya untuk lebih mencintai kimia,&quot; tutupnya.
