Selamat datang di Surabaya, selamat datang di Kampus Perjuangan,&quot; sambutnya.<\/p>\n<p>Bertempat di Grha Sepuluh Nopember ITS, konferensi ini ditujukan untuk memberikan kesempatan dan peluang bagi para peneliti, akademisi, dan mahasiswa yang mempunyai ketertarikan pada bidang penelitian bioteknologi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tema yang diangkat dalam acara ini sendiri adalah <em>Current Trends in Biotechnological Research for Environmental Sustainability. <\/em>Dari situ panitia memang sengaja memfokuskan bahasan pada topik penyelesaian masalah lingkungan di seluruh dunia. Isu itu dirasa sangat penting lantaran&nbsp;besarnya pengaruh bioteknologi pada perkembangan dunia saat ini.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Silakan berbagi ilmu, silakan bekerjasama demi kualitas dan keberlanjutan lingkungan,&quot; ujarnya yang memperoleh gelar professor di Universitas Newcastle Inggris.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam perkembangan era global, bioteknologi menjadi sorotan peneliti dunia. Berbagai penelitian digabungkan dengan proses kimia atau fisika guna pemenuhan kebutuhan teknologi lingkungan. Tidak hanya dimanfaatkan untuk remediasi atau pemulihan kualitas lingkungan, bioteknologi juga dikembangkan untuk turut menyumbang produksi energi terbarukan.<\/p>\n<p>Melihat permasalahan tersebut, diakui Joni, perlu pendekatan bioteknologi yang terbaru dan inovatif &nbsp;demi terciptanya lingkungan yang seimbang dan berkelanjutan ke arah yang lebih baik.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, acara yang digelar selama tiga hari itu turut diikuti oleh 77 peserta presentasi oral dan 19 peserta presentasi poster. Mereka didominasi dari tiga negara penyelenggara. Tak berhenti sampai di situ, kehadiran sejumlah professor kelas dunia pun semakin menambah meriahnya acara.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Beliau-beliau tersebut didatangkan secara khusus dari Asia Timur dan Eropa untuk menyumbangkan ide luar biasanya kepada peneliti muda agar lebih termotivasi dalam mengakselerasi bioteknologi,&quot; pungkasnya.
