Persis seperti Flying Dutchman, mitos kapal hantu Belanda,&quot; ujar Anisa Prasetyo, Minggu (12\/6).&nbsp;<\/p><\/div>\n<div>Pria yang akrab disapa Apras ini mengatakan, kapal perang buatannya adalah gabungan dari konsep kapal <em>trimaran<\/em> (berlambung tiga, reds) dengan pesawat <em>wing in surface effect<\/em>. Kapal <em>trimaran<\/em> sendiri memiliki stabilitas yang tinggi dibanding kapal berlambung satu sehingga mampu bertahan di cuaca buruk. Sedangkan tambahan konsep pesawat <em>wing in surface effect<\/em> memungkinkan kapal dapat terbang rendah di atas permukaan air dan darat.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&quot;Dibanding dengan kapal-kapal perang sebelumnya, mesin Flying Dutchman ini lebih irit sehingga mampu menggerakkan kapal dengan kecepatan yang tinggi. Selain itu, kapal ini dapat terbang dengan kecepatan 200 knot,&quot; jelas mahasiswa jurusan teknik perkapalan ITS ini. Menurutnya, dengan sepesifikasi kapal perang seperti ini dapat mempermudah proses penangkapan kriminalitas di perairan Indonesia.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Dikatakan Apras, riset kapal perang ini sudah mencapai tahap <em>preliminary<\/em> desain atau akhir pembuatan prototipe dan pengujian prototipe. Riset yang akan dilakukan selanjutnya adalah proses optimalisasi desain untuk meningkatkan performa kapal dan proses pengoptimalan persenjataan. &quot;Sebenarnya masih banyak riset yang harus dilakukan agar menjadi kapal siap digunakan,&quot; ungkapnya.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Penilitan yang telah dilakukan tim ini membutuhkan biaya yang tidak sedikit, bahkan Apras mengatakan timnya harus mengeluarkan dana pribadi untuk riset. &quot;Selain itu kami juga harus meminjam beberapa peralatan milik jurusan Teknik Perkapalan ITS,&quot; tambahnya.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Namun demikian, menurut Apras para dosen sangat mendukung adanya inovasi yang diciptakannya ini. &quot;Kami juga telah menghubungi bagian penelitian TNI AL untuk berdiskusi lebih lanjut minggu depan,&quot; katanya.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Tim yang akan mengikuti perlombaan Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (PIMNAS) di Bogor ini berharap karyanya dapat dikembangkan dan diimplementasikan sebagai alternatif baru dalam menjaga teritorial laut Indonesia. &quot;Selain itu tentunya kami juga berharap bisa menjuarai PIMNAS XXIX,&quot; harapnya.
