Gatot Suhermanto . Dipl Geoth Energy Tech memulai pembicaraan. Lelaki tersebut menambahkan bahwa 40 persen diantaranya berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai energi panas bumi. Sayangnya hingga saat ini hanya lima persen yang baru dimanfaatkan. <\/p>\n<p>Gatot menjelaskan,&nbsp; geothermal merupakan&nbsp; proses mengubah panas bumi menjadi uap kemudian diubah untuk menghasilkan energi. &quot;Prosesnya dimulai dengan cara menemukan Wilayah Kerja Pertambangan, eksplorasi, eksploitasi hingga pemasaran energi tersebut,&quot; ujar pria kelahiran Bojonegoro itu.<\/p>\n<p>Cara kerja dalam mengolah geothermal hampir sama dengan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU), hanya saja menggunakan bahan bakar yang berbeda. PLTU&nbsp; berasal dari bahan bakar gas, minyak, dan batu bara. &quot;Sedangkan geothermal harus menggunakan panas bumi.&quot; tambahnya.<\/p>\n<p>Pengembangan geothermal tidak lepas dari empat pilar yang harus dipenuhi. Empat pilar tersebut adalah technical aspect, legal base , busssines portopolis, dan implementation . &quot;Empat pilar tersebut wajib dilaksanakan oleh semua perusahaan yang mengolah geothermal&quot; tutur pria yang memiliki empat anak itu.<\/p>\n<p>Hal yang tidak kalah penting dalam pengembangan geothermal ialah manajemen risiko. Risiko yang dimaksud adalah pengaruh ketidakpastian yang dapat menghambat pencapaian target. &quot;Dalam pengembangan geothermal terdapat kurang lebih 7000 risiko yang mungkin terjadi,&quot; tegasnya. <\/p>\n<p>Dalam penelitian hingga manajemen risiko diperlukan banyak disiplin ilmu. Diantaranya Geologi, Geofisika, Geokimia, Kimia, Teknik Kimia dan lainnya. &quot;Mahasiswa harus paham mengenai geothermal dan bahkan harus memiliki keinginan untuk mengembangkan geothermal demi kebutuhan energi mendatang&quot; pungkasnya.
