Saat ditemui ITS Online, Prof Ir Joni Hermana MScES Phd, Rektor ITS mengungkapkan jika kerjasama ITS dengan BNPB telah terhubung sejak 2012. Kerja sama ini dilakukan guna mendukung perbaikan sistem penanggulangan bencana yang tengah dilakukan BNPB.<\/p>\n

"Sebagai kampus yang bernafaskan teknologi dan sains, sudah seharusnya ITS turut serta dalam membangun bangsa. Salah satunya melalui implementasi teknologi dalam sistem penanggulangan bencana alam," ungkap pria yang pernah menjabat sebagai Dekan Fakultas Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan (FTSP) ITS.<\/p>\n

Komitmen ITS ini pun disambut hangat oleh Laksamana Muda Willem Rampangilei, Ketua BNBP. Ia mengungkapkan jika BNPB juga akan memperpanjang kerjasama dengan ITS. Hal tersebut dilakukan dalam rangka untuk membangun kapasitas teknologi dalam hal penanggulangan bencana alam, khususnya mitigasi bencana.<\/p>\n

Lebih lanjut, ia mengungkapkan, jika tidak menutup kemungkinan BNPB juga akan bekerja sama dengan ITS dalam hal penelitian. Hal Ini dilakukan sebagai salah satu strategi untuk mengkaji potensi terjadinya bencana pada suatu daerah. (Sho\/ao)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
