Meskipun cuaca cukup panas dengan matahari tepat di atas kepala, hal itu tetap tidak menyurutkan semangat alumni. Mereka tetap datang untuk menanam tiga puluh pohon dengan jenis berbeda.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n
Bukan tanpa sebab penanaman tiga puluh pohon dengan tiga puluh jenis berbeda itu dilakukan, melainkan angka 30 menjadi simbol yang memiliki esensi kuat. Melalui angka 30 tersebut, mereka ingin menunjukkan bahwa mulai dari angkatan pertama hingga angkatan ke dua puluh tujuh, kontribusi untuk kejayaan JTI telah memiliki simbol.<\/div>\n

Mulai dari perwakilan alumni, Ketua Jurusan Teknik Industri yang baru, Nurhadi Siswanto ST MSIE PhD hingga perwakilan mahasiswa baru ikut serta dalam penanaman pohon tersebut. Tjuk, salah satu alumni angkatan 1987 menjelaskan, penanaman pohon ini merupakan aksi nyata yang baik dan kreatif jika dibandingkan dengan pembukaan biasa.<\/div>\n

"Kalau seperti ini kan pembukaan menjadi lebih berarti karena memiliki manfaat bagi mahasiswa lain di kemudian hari," ucap Tjuk. Ia juga setuju jika aksi penanaman pohon ini dapat menjadi ide awal yang patut ditiru jurusan lain untuk ITS yang lebih rimbun. Sehingga secara tidak langsung juga turut mengurangi dampak asap maupun kondisi lingkungan yang gersang akibat pembangunan gedung baru.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Meskipun nantinya beberapa pohon tersebut masih akan dipindahkan ke tempat yang lebih luas, tak dapat dipungkiri jika acara penanaman pohon ini berhasil mengambil hati para alumni. Tak jarang, dengan riang mereka berfoto bersama pohon-pohon kecil yang mereka tanam.<\/div>\n

"Semoga saja dengan adanya acara-acara yang seperti ini, dapat lebih menyatukan hubungan antar angkatan di JTI. Sehingga tiap angkatan akan tetap menjaga hubungan baik.
