Seperti presentasi yang diawali Aditya Rio Prabowo, ia mengungkapkan tubrukan kapal adalah insiden besar yang dapat terjadi kapan pun di laut. Sehingga, melalui materi berjudul <em>A Comparative Study On Influence of Parameters In Event of The Conclusion Between Two Ship<\/em>, ia menjelaskan studi perbandingan dengan memprediksi skenario dari hasil investigasi peristiwa tubrukan kapal.<\/p>\n<p>Lain halnya dengan paparan peserta lainnya,&nbsp;Dr Ir Sunaryo MSc. Menurutnya, topik <em>Improving The Class Of Indonesia&#8217;s Tradisional Merchant Fleet by Modernizing Their Structural Design Materials and Buliding Procedures <\/em>yang diusungnya&nbsp;menyoal pada desain sebuah kapal yang dapat dibuat dari lapisan bambu atau kayu laminasi dengan <em>treatment <\/em>tertentu. Ia meyakini lapisan kayu sangatlah kuat dan juga baik untuk lingkungan dalam hal pembangunan kapal.<\/p>\n<p>Material tersebut juga dipilih karena sifatnya yang hampir sama dengan kayu, namun lebih terjangkau dan ramah lingkungan. &quot;Sedangkan konstruksi lambung kapal besi dibuat seperti biasa, namun dibagi dahulu dalam beberapa bagian untuk kemudian disatukan di galangan,&quot; ucapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dipaparkannya, kapal tradisional memegang peran penting untuk transportasi antarpulau, khususnya di Indonesia yang memiliki ribuan pulau kecil. Namun, eksistensi kapal tradisional ini semakin mengkhawatirkan. &quot;Sebab, bahan bakunya mulai langka, keamanannya tidak terjamin, dan tidak dapat diasuransikan,&quot; kata Sunaryo.<\/p>\n<p>Melihat fenomena ini, ia pun merancang sebuah desain kapal tradisional yang mengadopsi konstruksi, teknik pembangunan, dan standar kapal modern. &quot;Sehingga kapal ini akan lebih aman, terjangkau, dan berkelas tanpa menanggalkan ciri tradisionalnya,&quot; &nbsp;jelas pria yang menempuh program doktoral di Skotlandia ini.<\/p>\n<p>Sementara itu, Mohammad Sholikhan Arif ST MT, salah satu panitia menyebutkan dengan diadakannya seminar ini, para mahasiswa diharapkan dapat memanfaatkan momen yang ada. Seperti diketahui, acara dua tahunan tersebut diakui&nbsp;dosen Jurusan Teknik Perkapalan ITS itu turut dihadiri alumni ITS dan petinggi dari berbagai perusahaan di bidang maritim.<\/p>\n<p>Sebut saja seperti ClassNK, Hempel, dan PT.
