Berbeda dengan tahun lalu, kali ini Sampanesia menghadirkan band-band beraliran <em>rock <\/em>seperti The SIGIT dan My Mother is Hero (MMH). &#8221;Sengaja kami memilih aliran musik keras kali ini untuk meningkatkan atmosfer keteknikan. Bahwa ritme kehidupan mahasiswa teknik itu keras,&#8221; ujar Bimo Taufan Devara, Ketua Pelaksana Sampanesia.<\/p>\n<p> Ber-<em>tagline<\/em>-kan <em>The Hidden Paradise<\/em>, konsep yang ingin diangkat adalah tentang kekayaan maritim Indonesia yang terpendam. Tak ayal, dekorasi panggung yang berbau legenda atlantis dengan partenon khas Yunani pun sengaja dipilih untuk mewakilkan potensi maritim Indonesia yang masih perlu dikembangkan.<\/p>\n<p>Meski jumlah pengunjung yang hadir meramaikan tidak sebanyak tahun lalu, namun Bimo merasa cukup puas dengan konsep yang dibawakan. &#8221;Memang sudah kami perhitungkan, bahwa aliran musik seperti ini pasarnya sedikit sulit. Tapi setidaknya kami melakoni apa yang menjadi kesukaan kami,&#8221; tambahnya.<\/p>\n<p>Secara keseluruhan, acara tahunan terbesar Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Perkapalan (Himatekpal) ini memiliki lima sub acara. Bertemakan <em>Reach Maritime Glory Through Harmony,<\/em> kelima sub acara Sampan 9 ITS meliputi berbagai kompetisi. Mulai dari Surabaya Fisherman Sailing Competition (SFSC), Lomba Karya Tulis Nasional (Lokarina), National Ship Design and Race Competition (NASDARC), hingga acara Dialog Interaktif dan Sampanesia.
