Sebab, lanjutnya, Indonesia adalah kontributor gas karbondioksida terbesar keempat di dunia. &quot;Dengan <em>green building<\/em>, emisi gas karbondioksida bisa dikurangi secara perlahan,&quot; tegasnya kepada peserta.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Terdapat beberapa kriteria <em>green building<\/em> yang dijelaskan Naning. Salah satunya adalah tidak memakan lahan yang terlalu luas dan dibangun secara vertikal. &quot;Sayangnya, masyarakat Indonesia masih banyak yang tidak mau tinggal di rumah-rumah susun,&quot; ujarnya prihatin.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Menurutnya, banyak cara yang bisa dilakukan masyarakat Indonesia untuk menciptakan <em>green building<\/em>. Tindakan pertama yang bisa dilakukan adalah mengurangi limbah. &quot;Saat ini beberapa industri sudah mulai mengurangi penggunaan kemasan plastik untuk mengurangi jumlah sampah,&quot; ujar Naning.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Lalu, tindakan kedua adalah memaksimalkan penggunaan kembali. Tindakan ini menurutnya bisa dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan desain gedung. Tujuannya agar dalam masa akhir penggunaan gedung, materialnya dapat digunakan kembali. &quot;Umumnya barang-barang interior hanya bertahan selama 30 bulan karena manusia cepat bosan. Inilah salah satu tantangan bagi para <em>designer<\/em>,&quot; tegasnya.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Selain itu, kebiasaan meletakkan tanaman hidup di dalam ruangan juga dapat menciptakan <em>green building<\/em>. Pasalnya, tanaman tersebut bisa menjadi sumber udara segar di dalam ruangan. &quot;Jika udara yang kita hirup segar, maka fisik kita pasti sehat,&quot; terangnya.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Di akhir, Naning menekankan kepada peserta bahwa desain bangunan seharusnya dibuat untuk kelangsungan hidup manusia. Karenanya, ia berharap setiap <em>designer<\/em>, terutama <em>jebolan<\/em> ITS mampu merancang <em>green building<\/em> agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup manusia. &quot;Kalau bangsa kita tidak sehat, tidak akan ada investor yang mau masuk ke Indonesia,&quot; pungkasnya.
