Chevron sebagai pembicara. Mereka adalah Aquardy Suminar, selaku <em>Earth Science Team MGR Chevron Geothermal of Indonesia<\/em> dan Riki Irfan, selaku&nbsp; <em>Geothermal Geophysic Team Chevron<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>Dalam paparannya, &nbsp;Aquardy Suminar mengungkapkan, empat puluh&nbsp;persen kandungan panas bumi di dunia terdapat di Indonesia. Menurutnya, pengeluaran negara di bidang pengolahan energi dapat diminimalkan, jika potensi energi tersebut dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Apalagi melihat kondisi saat ini, kata Aquardy, Indonesia baru menggunakan energi <em>geothermal<\/em> sebesar empat persen. <\/p>\n<p>Diakuinya, terdapat beberapa kelebihan dalam penggunaan energi <em>geothermal<\/em> sebagai energi alternatif. Diantaranya, <em>geothermal<\/em> merupakan jenis energi yang ramah lingkungan, tidak menghasilkan emisi karbon, tidak menghasilkan material maupun cairan pencemar, dan dapat digunakan secara konstan karena tidak dipengaruhi oleh musim. &quot;Melihat kelebihan tersebut, sudah seharusnya Indonesia melakukan konversi energi ke energi terbarukan,&quot; ungkapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Hal senada juga diungkapkan oleh Riki Irfan, menurutnya energi <em>geothermal<\/em> merupakan energi yang relatif tidak akan habis. Hal ini dikarenakan, energi ini dihasilkan dari aktivitas tektonik yang dihasilkan dan disimpan dalam bumi. &quot;Dengan memanfaatkan energi ini, kita tidak perlu khawatir untuk kehabisan pasokan energi,&quot; jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Di akhir penjelasannya, Riki sempat menyayangkan jika potensi <em>geothermal<\/em> yang dimiliki Indonesia ini tidak dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. &quot;Penggunaan energi fosil secara berkala, bukanlah solusi untuk saat ini,&quot; pungkasnya.
