Proyek sosial ini sekaligus mendukung tema besar acara Mechanical City 2015, yakni <em>Bringing Technology to Society<\/em>. &quot;Penerapan mesin pemotong singkong dibuat dua <em>prototype <\/em>di kaki Gunung Welirang Mojokerto,&quot; papar Ilman sembari menunjukkan alatnya ke pengunjung.<\/p>\n<p>Diceritakan Ilham, tidak hanya penerapan teknologi mesin baru untuk petani dan pekebun saja. Di desa itu sebelumnya sudah banyak dilakukan pembangunan infrastruktur kampung oleh para mahasiswa HMM. &quot;Sekitar 400 mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Mesin membantu pembangunan sistem terasering, pembuatan lampu jalan, saluran irigasi air dan lain-lain,&quot; kisahnya.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, proyek pengabdian masyarakat ini juga didukung oleh enam ormawa internal dari Teknik Mesin ITS. Diantaranya dari Mesin Music Club untuk penampilan hiburan dan pengajaran seni musik, tim Lembaga Bengkel Mahasiswa Mesin (LBMM) yang memberikan latihan otomotif kepada masyarakat sekitar. <\/p>\n<p>Serta, ada juga dari kalangan Lembaga Dakwah Jurusan (LDJ) yang memberikan pembelajaran di beberapa masjid desa setempat. Lalu, ada juga Organisasi Auto Sport yang melakukan olahraga otomotif, seperti mobil <em>slalom <\/em>yang kali ini dimodifikasi tidak menggunakan mobil melainkan motor. &quot;Terakhir, dari organisasi jurnalistik (dimensi) yang membuat taman bacaan,&quot; imbuhnya kepada <em>ITS Online<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Ilham menambahkan, tujuan utama proyek sosial ini adalah membuat desa tersebut berekonomi mandiri dengan cara berwirausaha. Penghasilan wirausaha itu sendiri bisa diperoleh dari sumber daya alam utama desa yang berupa pertanian. HMM pun bertekad akan membantu semaksimal mungkin proses wirausaha tersebut, mulai dari produksi sampai penentuan harganya. &quot;Progres saat ini memang masih penyuluhan dan pembelajaran wirausaha itu tadi,&quot; jelas Ilman.<\/p>\n<p>Ia pun berharap, meskipun objek tempatnya terbilang pelosok dan butuh persiapan banyak, tetapi semua tujuan mulia itu bisa diterima oleh semua kalangan. &quot;Target kami, Mei mendatang teknologi baru ini bisa diimplementasikan,&quot; pungkasnya saat mengakhiri wawancara dengan ITS Online.
