Apabila dari mahasiswa melakukan penelitian energi panas bumi, akan kita fasilitasi demi kapabilitas nasional,&quot; papar Direktur Operasi PT PLN Pembangkit Jawa Bali (PJB) itu.<\/p>\n<p>Pria yang akrab disapa Iwan tersebut mengatakan pula bahwa Indonesia&nbsp;diprediksikan mengalami <em>middle income trap<\/em>&nbsp;pada tahun 2020 berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari Menteri Keuangan Indonesia dan World Bank. &quot;Pada waktu itu, penduduk Indonesia mencapai titik tertinggi usia produktif yang sangat&nbsp; banyak. Rentang produktif yakni dari 16 hingga 64 tahun,&quot; ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Iwan, ini merupakan hal positif. Karena dengan demikian, Indonesia berpeluang besar dalam melakukan pembangunan energi, melalui eksplorasi geothermal. Begitu juga, pendapatan negara yang terkategori <em>lower middle income<\/em> sebesar $1250 hingga $4000 dollar per tahun, terus menuju ke arah atas dalam grafik pendapatan. <\/p>\n<p>Ditengarai pula, terbukti sejak tahun 80-an hingga kini, penduduk produktif di Indonesia maju sangat pesat dan telah mencapai 130 juta jiwa. &quot;Dari situ kita manfaatkan SDM kompetitif, membuat penghasilan naik, efek kerja naik. Perusahaan negara (BUMN) pun akan belanja di dalam negeri, agar industri negara tumbuh,&quot; tutur Iwan.<\/p>\n<p>Prediksi masih prediksi, mendengar isu positif ini harapannya tak hanya masuk telinga kanan dan keluar telinga kiri. Iwan berharap prediksi ini memacu semangat para mahasiswa untuk lebih giat berkarya. &quot;Di sini kita tak semata memberikan kabar positif, tapi kita ingin mahasiswa bersiap dan bertindak sebagaimana mereka mendukung potensi di tahun 2020,&quot; harapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Presiden SEG ITS, Maulana Fakhrudin Fania Putra mengatakan, kuliah tamu ini bertujuan menggaet kerjasama dengan perusahaan BUMN. &quot;Kita tahu, AEC mendatang perusahaan sudah ancang-ancang merekrut orang dari luar.
