Sementara,<em> co-promotor<\/em> adalah Ir Petrus Eko Panunggal PhD dan Aries Sulisetyono ST MA Sc PhD.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Disertasi ini bertujuan untuk mengamati dan menjelaskan pengaruh sloshing terhadap olah gerak kapal. Pengujian model fisik dilakukan di <em>Maneuvering and Ocean Engineering Basin<\/em> (MOB). Konfigurasi geometri model yang disimulasikan dan diuji adalah tipe FLNG dengan tangki berisi muatan kosong dan muatan 30 persen fluida tangki.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ia menjelaskan, &nbsp;sebagai negara yang kaya gas alam, Indonesia memerlukan infrastruktur pengolahan yang tepat. Salah satu infrastruktur tersebut adalah <em>Floating Liquified Natural Gas<\/em> (FLNG ). FLNG merupakan sebuah sistem &nbsp;pengolahan dan pencairan gas alam langsung lepas pantai. &quot;Teknologi ini merupakan prospek yang luar biasa untuk pemanfaatan gas terutama untuk <em>associated gas<\/em> dan <em>stranded gas<\/em>,&quot; jelasnya.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Diakuinya, FLNG akan memperpendek proses pengolahan LNG. Hal ini dikarenakan, FLNG menggabungkan fasilitas eksplorasi, produksi, dan fasilitas pencairan gas alam menjadi satu. &quot;Proses yang lebih pendek ini mengurangi investasi dalam pencairan gas alam,&quot; paparnya.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Akan tetapi, fenomena <em>sloshing<\/em> akan menjadi kendala tersendiri bagi FLNG. Fenomena ini diakibatkan gaya eksternal berupa energi gelombang. Sehingga, gejala ini mempunyai pengaruh terhadap gerak FLNG.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ia menjelaskan, &nbsp;melalui penelitian ini efek fenomena <em>sloshing<\/em> terhadap pengaruh gerakan kapal dapat diketahui dengan baik. Namun, pada sudut heading 90 derajat terdapat pola gerak <em>pitch<\/em> tidak jelas sehingga memerlukan kajian lebih lanjut. Selain itu, tekanan akibat gelombang pada sudut heading 90 derajat memberikan dampak tekanan yang lebih tinggi. &quot;Oleh karena itu, gerakan kapal ditambah dengan sloshing tidak bervariasi secara linear terhadap amplitudo gelombang,&quot; ungkapnya.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ia mengungkapkan, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah untuk mendapatkan prediksi awal dalam melakukan perhitungan terhadap olah gerak kapal. Penelitian ini &nbsp;juga diharapkan dapat memperkaya dan memperkuat data <em>base<\/em> untuk tujuan saintifik dalam mempresentasikan pengaruh<em> sloshing<\/em> terhadap pergerakan kapal dan dinding tangki. &quot;Penelitian ini dapat diaplikasikan secara langsung dalam perhitungan respon kapal yang digunakan untuk penentuan desain kapal,&quot; ujarnya dengan senyum sumringah.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Tak hanya itu, ia berharap setelah disertasi ini dipatenkan, mahasiswa lain dapat mengembangkan penelitian ini dengan variabel lain. &quot;Dapat menunjang keilmuan pada perpustakaan atau sebagai bahan jurnal,&quot; pungkasnya. &nbsp;(ila\/ady)<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saat ini sebagian besar cadangan gas alam terletak di lepas pantai.
