Ia berkeinginan membangun satu blok asrama guna memfokuskan pendidikan mahasiswa baru di tahun pertama. Oleh karena itu, menurutnya, pengelolaan haruslah dimulai sejak dini sejak mahasiswa masuk ITS. Melalui asrama, pendidikan karakter, pendampingan, dan pembibingan <em>softskill <\/em>dapat dilaksanakan.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Hal tersebut ternyata mendapat perhatian dari salah satu alumni, Ir Musyanif yang tergerak hatinya untuk menghibahkan sebagian dananya untuk pembangunan asrama. &quot;Satu unit biasanya berharga seratus juta lebih, tetapi kami punya ilmunya sehingga harganya dapat ditekan, sehingga per unit hanya mencapai 80 juta saja,&quot; ujar Musyanif dalam sambutannya.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Diakuinya, Alumni Teknik Sipil tahun 1974 (S17) juga bahu membahu dalam membangun asrama. &quot;Mereka membantu dalam perancanangan, pembuatan strategi, dan lain sebagainya,&quot; ungkap Musyanif.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ia berharap, asrama yang dibangun dapat selesai tepat waktu, nyaman ditempati, dan mahasiswa dapat menikmati berbagai fasilitas. &quot;Salah satunya keringanan &nbsp;biaya yang ada di asrama sehingga kinerja mereka selama berkuliah dapat berjalan dengan baik dan dapat memenuhi karakter yang diinginkan oleh ITS,&quot; tutur Musyanif.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Sementara itu, Kepala Pusat Implementasi Master Plan ITS (PIMPITS), Wahyu Setiawan ST MT menjelaskan rencana pembangunan asrama yang akan digarap mempunyai beberapa bagian. &quot;Akan ada empat lantai dengan daya tampung kurang lebih dua ratusan kamar. Jika sekamar dua orang, asrama tersebut dapat menampung empat ratusan mahasiswa,&quot; ujar Wahyu.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Lebih lanjut, pihaknya akan tetap melakukan pengawasan dan pendampingan selama proses pembangunan berlangsung, mengingat tujuan dari PIMPITS adalah menangani segala perijinan pembangunan dan perencanaan pembangunan. &quot;Kami mendesain bangunan ini yang ramah lingkungan, tanpa <em>Air Conditionair<\/em> (AC) dengan cara memanfaatkan ventilasi secara maksimal,&quot; ungkap Wahyu, salah satu dosen Jurusan Arsitektur.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Diakhir, dirinya berharap pembangunan tidak sampai di sini. &#8221;Masih ada lahan kosong yang muat untuk enam blok asrama <em>twin<\/em>,&quot; pungkas Wahyu.
