Dijelaskan olehnya, radar FMCW ini mempunyai beban biaya yang efektif dan konsumsi tenaga yang rendah.<br \/>Ia pun menjelaskan keuntungan lain yang dimiliki oleh radar FMCW ini yaitu bisa mentransmisikan penerimaan sinyal dalam jangka waktu yang pendek secara terus-menerus. Menurutnya, jika radar normal lainnya mengharuskan mempunyai daya <em>pick <\/em>yang tinggi, hal tersebut justru yang sebaliknya terjadi pada radar FMCW. &#8221;Kamu bisa mentransimisikan daya <em>pick <\/em>rendah, karena sifatnya yang terus menerus setara dengan daya rata-rata lainnya,&#8221; ujar pria yang akrap disapa Ligthart ini.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, ia mengungkapkan kelemahan dari radar ini adalah produknya yang membutuhkan dua antena dimana berguna untuk mentransmisikan dan menangkap sinyal yang besar. &#8221;Butuh dua antena dari pada satu antena,&#8221; ungkap dosen asal negeri kincir angin tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, ia menambahkan perbedaan radar ini terletak pada sinyal yang ditransmisikan tidak bisa dipotong atau ditahan oleh radar lainnya. &#8221;Radar ini hanya menerima sinyal khusus dari pemancar sinyal lainnya yang sama,&#8221; ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Sementara itu, ia pun berpesan kepada para mahasiswa untuk menikmati inovasi-inovasi dan mau belajar terhadap subyek atau persoalan yang menantang. Sedangkan, pesan untuk para doktoral adalah agar turut berkecimpung dalam dunia sains internasional. &#8221;Mengambil subyek yang menantang itu sangat berguna untuk negara, komunitas, dan diri sendiri,&#8221; tutupnya.
