Gubenur Suryo, Surabaya ini juga dihadiri oleh walikota Surabaya Bambang D.H, Dirut P3M DIKTI Jaja Kuswara, Ketua Panitia, dan Rektor Universitas Airlangga. Dimulai pukul 7.30 dan diakhiri jam 9 malam.<\/p>\n<p>Peserta yang datang, baik  peserta pameran, peserta Lomba Karya tulis ilmiah (LKTI), Lomba Karya Inovatif Produktif (LKIP), Program Kreatifitas Mahasiswa (PKM), Lomba Poster ilmiah dan Pameran Iptek dari masing -masing institusi perguruan tinggi. <\/p>\n<p>Acara yang dimulai dengan pembukaaan dan sambutan dari ketua panitia, Rektor Unair, Profesor Puruhito, dan Walikotamadya Surabaya, Bambang DH, dilanjutkan dengan acara hiburan oleh sumbangan lagu dari Rektor Unair, Tarian Poco-poco bagi undangan yang berkenan joged, dan sumbangan lagu dari paguyupan Cak-Ning Surabaya.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam sambutannya Rektor Unair menanyakan bagaimana dengan hasil-hasil kreatifitas anak bangsa (mahasiswa) setelah acara ini. Apakah dibiarkan mangkrak atau ada tindak lanjutnya setelah ini. Seperti karya Mahasiswa ITS yaitu Widya Wahana  I  yang dimusiumkan di Jerman.<\/p>\n<p>Sayangnya Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Bapak Malik Fajar dan Direktur Jendral Pendidikan Tinggi (Dirjen Dikti) tidak hadir begitu juga dengan Pejabat ITS.
