Arief Rahman M Sc, Kepala Pusat Pengelolaan dan Layanan Teknologi Informasi Komputer LPTSI ITS, mengatakan Panorama terinspirasi dari kampus yang berada di Australia.”Namun, dalam desain dan tampilan panorama kami mengembangkan sendiri. Server-<\/em>nya pun menggunakan milik ITS,” tuturnya. <\/p>\n

Panorama ITS ditujukan sebagai sarana publikasi kampus ITS kepada khalayak umum dan juga alumni. ”Para alumni banyak yang  penasaran melihat keadaan kampus ITS saat ini yang semakin hijau dan banyak pembangunan,” ujarnya.<\/p>\n

Arief menjelaskan, Panorama ITS sebenarnya adalah sebuah foto dengan konsep yang berbeda, di mana gambar tersebut dapat berputar 360 derajat. ”Gambar tersebut dapat dilihat dari atas, bawah, samping kanan, dan kiri. Gambarnya sendiri didesain bentuknya bulat,”ungkapnya. <\/p>\n

Panorama sendiri dapat diakses menggunakan PC, Smartphone, Ipad dan gadget serupa lainnya. Di dalamnya terdapat navigasi berbentuk anah panah yang berguna untuk memudahkan pengunjung melihat tempat-tempat kampus ITS. Panorama ITS menggunakan bink map<\/em> yang mirip sebagai situs pencari tempat.<\/p>\n

Dalam membuat Panorama ITS, LPTSI bekerja sama dengan Inkubator ITS. Di mana mahasiswa Teknik informatika dan Sistem Informasi, yang banyak terlibat di dalamnya. ”Kami yang memiliki ide, yang mengeksekusi pihak Inkubator,” jelasnya. <\/p>\n

Panorama ITS mulai dikerjakan sejak November 2013. Dalam pengambilan foto dengan menggunakan kamera khusus, dalam dua hari mereka bisa mendapatkan kurang lebih 100 foto. Pengerjaan Panorama ITS yang memakan waktu lama adalah proses analisa tempat dan pembuatan rute yang sesuai dengan tempat-tempat di ITS. <\/p>\n

Arief menuturkan, gambar yang ada di  panorama akan di-update<\/em> lagi pada pertengahan Maret 2014. ”Banyak tempat bagus yang belum diperlihatkan. Laboratorium di ITS pun belum diekspos, padahal gambar tersebut dapat menarik perhatian siswa SMA,” ucapnya. <\/p>\n

Namun, Arief menambahkan bahwa ada beberapa titik yang sengaja tidak ditampilkan di dalam
\npanorama seperti ruangan rektorat, beberapa laboratorium khusus, dan ruangan lainnya. ”Itu dimaksudkan karena alasan keamanan dari ITS sendiri,” ujarnya.<\/p>\n

Menuju E-Kios<\/strong>
Panorama merupakan bagian dari desain yang arahnya E-Kios. E-kios merupakan display<\/em> informasi digital . Rencana ke depan, akan disebar di beberapa titik strategis di layar sentuh besar. <\/p>\n

Layar sentuh tersebut akan menampilkan direktori yang lengkap dari kampus ITS mulai dari gambar suasana, profil,  dan peta 3D yang terhubung dengan peta digital. ”Contohnya, jika ingin pergi ke Teknik Industri, akan terlihat profil Jurusan Teknik Industri, peta, gedung, laboratorium, dosen, dan mahasiswanya bisa dilihat dari layar tersebut,” tutupnya.(ila\/izz)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Untuk mengenalkan ITS kepada dunia luar. ITS melalui Lembaga Pengembangan Teknologi dan Sistem Informasi (LPTSI) membuat sebuah website panorama. Panorama ITS sendiri dideskripsikan sebagai gambar yang menampilkan suasana kampus ITS dengan view<\/em> yang interaktif dan terlihat hidup sesuai dengan kondisi sebenarnya.
