Ini harus menjadi refleksi kita!&#8221; ujarnya menggebu.<\/p>\n<p>Mahasiswa yang akrab disapa Avis ini menjelaskan bahwa dari sejarah ini, mahasiswa perlu sadar akan jati dirinya sebagai Bangsa Indonesia. Bangsa yang hidup di negara dengan luas laut mencapai dua per tiganya luas total negara. &#8221;Kesadaran bahwa luas wilayah kita didominasi oleh laut selayaknya menghadirkan semangat untuk mengembangkan potensi maritim,&#8221; lanjutnya.<\/p>\n<p>Karenanya, BEM ITS membuat mading tiga dimensi berisi sejarah pertempuran di laut Aru. Tidak hanya itu, BEM ITS juga ingin menghadirkan atmosfer kemaritiman di luar kampus ITS. Melalui ITS Education Care Center (IECC), BEM ITS mengenalkan sejarah kemaritiman Indonesia sejak dini kepada siswa-siswi SDN Tambak Wedi. Gambar kapal yang meramaikan mading merupakan bentuk partisipasi siswa-siswi SD yang sempat dikunjungi IECC, Sabtu (12\/01).<\/p><\/div>\n<div>Sementara itu, sebagai fakultas yang paling dekat dengan visi kemaritiman, Fakultas Teknologi Kelautan (FTK) mempunyai cara yang berbeda untuk merayakannya. Mereka memperingati hari Dharma Samudra dengan menulis. Tak pelak, tulisan yang mengusung visi maritim pun bertebaran di seantero mading FTK. Antusiasme mahasiswa FTK terlihat dari banyaknya tulisan mengenai industri maritim, potensi laut Indonesia bahkan sampai tentang Deklarasi Juanda.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ketua BEM FTK, Good Year Surya Nusantara memaparkan betapa pentingnya membangun kesadaran dalam diri mahasiswa mengenai potensi kemaritiman Indonesia. Gerakan ini dilakukan semata agar kedepannya Indonesia bisa memiliki visi maritim. Maka, tak jarang FTK menggelar Forum Kajian Isu Maritim (FKIM) guna mencapai tujuan tersebut. &#8221;Harusnya kita sudah bervisi maritim! Pemerintah harus bisa melihat penuh potensi kelautan Indonesia dengan menjadikan industri khusus maritim,&#8221; ungkapnya menambahkan.
