Di sini kami kemas dalam bentuk kompetisi agar lebih menarik,&#8221; jelas Hasbi Septiansyah, ketua pelaksana. Menurutnya, gelaran ini merupakan salah satu upaya yang dilakukan HMSI untuk mengenalkan keilmuan Sistem Informasi (SI) yang belum begitu membumi di benak masyarakat.<\/p>\n<p>Hasbi, panggilan akrabnya, juga mengutarakan kegiatan ini diinisiasi untuk menunjang program keprofesian HMSI. &#8221;Ranah keprofesian memang menjadi bahan evaluasi bagi kami,&#8221; ungkapnya. Meski begitu, kegiatan ini tetap menyesuaikan kemampuan TIK yang dimiliki para peserta siswa SMA.<\/p>\n<p>Sekitar 60 peserta dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia antusias mengikuti gelaran ini. &#8221;Setelah menjalani seleksi <em>online<\/em> di babak penyisihan, sebanyak sepuluh tim berhasil memasuki tahap final yang dilangsukan di kampus SI,&#8221; papar mahasiswa angkatan 2011 ini. Pada tahap ini, peserta diarahkan untuk membuat sebuah <em>prototype<\/em> aplikasi yang bisa dimanfaatkan masyarakat secara luas.<\/p>\n<p>Materi mengenai pemrograman dan algoritma tetap menjadi <em>framework <\/em>utama yang dijalankan peserta. Kegiatan ini tak lepas dari dua model tes yang diujikan yakni praktikum dan ujian tertulis. Menurutnya para peserta yang terdiri dari dua orang untuk masing-masing tim ini akan menerima beberapa tingkat soal yang bisa mereka pilih, yakni <em>level hard, medium <\/em>dan <em>easy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Ia berharap kegiatan ini dapat menjadi salah satu pemicu penigkatan peminat mahasiswa baru yang ingin melanjutkan studi di SI ITS. Berbagai evaluasi dan perbaikan juga akan dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas gelaran ini dari waktu ke waktu. &#8221;Saat ini yang menjadi fokus utama kami adalah soal publikasi dan hal-hal teknis penyelenggaraan,&#8221; tutupnya.
