{"id":16318,"date":"2013-04-28T08:44:10","date_gmt":"2013-04-28T08:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/2013\/04\/28\/alternative-energy-competition-lahirkan-teknologi-baru\/"},"modified":"2013-04-28T08:44:10","modified_gmt":"2013-04-28T08:44:10","slug":"alternative-energy-competition-lahirkan-teknologi-baru","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/alternative-energy-competition-lahirkan-teknologi-baru\/","title":{"rendered":"Alternative Energy Competition, Lahirkan Teknologi Baru"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dalam kompetisi ini, peserta diminta untuk membuat alat alias mesin yang berhubungan dengan tema besar Mechanical City, <em>When Techno Meets Urban<\/em>. &#8221;Fokusnya pada pembuatan teknologi baru yang dapat diimplementasikan di masyarakat,&#8221; tutur I Dewa Gde Budhita M, wakil ketua panitia.<\/p>\n<p>AEC terbagi menjadi dua kategori, yakni Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dan mahasiswa. Khusus untuk kategori SMA, membuat alat dengan tema <em>green technology<\/em>. Sementara untuk kategori mahasiswa yakni <em>renewable energy<\/em> yang mengarah pada <em>harvester energy<\/em>, seperti biodiesel. <\/p>\n<p>Salah satu wakil dalam kategori SMA adalah Perahu Tenaga Gelombang. Inovasi ini dapat mengubah energi gelombang laut menjadi listrik penggerak perahu. Karya SMA Negeri 1 Kebumen ini memanfaatkan energi gelombang mekanik yang bergerak dari depan ke belakang seolah-olah mengikuti gerak gelombang ini akan menghasilkan listrik yang dapat menggerakkan perahu.<\/p>\n<p>Alat tersebut dapat diimplementasikan langsung ke perahu milik nelayan di daerah pantai Indonesia karena gelombang di Indonesia cenderung deras. Selain itu juga tidak menimbulkan limbah bekas dari pembakaran minyak. &#8221;Ini hanya dikhususkan untuk perahu kecil saja, tidak untuk kapal yang besar,&#8221; ungkap Asa Taufiqurrahman, salah satu anggota tim.<\/p>\n<p>Dari kategori mahasiswa, tim dari ITS mendominasi. Sisanya berasal dari Universitas Gajah Mada, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, dan Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). IPB membawakan ide mereka tentang pemanfaatan limbah kelapa sawit dengan mengimplementasikan Microbio Fuel Cell (MFC). MFC ini mengkonversikan energi kimia menjadi listrik dengan menggunakan mikroba.
