Pembantu Rektor 1, Prof Dr Ing Ir Herman Sasongko mengatakan bahwa ITS sangat mendukung penuh segala aktivitas positif yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa. Termasuk dalam hal pembuatan robot. Menurutnya, hal ini sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran.<\/p>\n

Ia juga menambahkan bahwa mahasiswa akan memperoleh banyak pembelajaran dalam kontes robot kali ini. Perlombaan robot memerlukan segala aspek ilmu. Baik itu hardskill<\/em> maupun softskill<\/em>. "Selain butuh ilmu akademik, leadership<\/em> dan teamwork<\/em> menjadi salah satu aspek yang terpenting," ujar Herman.<\/div>\n

Herman pun berharap agar tim ITS bisa mempertahankan gelar juara umum nasional yang telah berhasil diraih tahun lalu. "Kita akan support<\/em> penuh, termasuk dalam hal biaya," tuturnya.<\/div>\n

Lebih lanjut, Herman mengatakan bahwa robot merupakan sebuah teknologi canggih yang harus dikembangkan. Apabila robot yang canggih itu dapat diproduksi dalam perindustrian, tentunya perekonomian akan bisa berkembang dengan baik.<\/div>\n

Semantara itu, Dr Ir Bambang Sampurno MT selaku Kepala Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Hubungan Alumni ITS mengatakan bahwa ITS merupakan juara bertahan. Oleh karena itu ITS harus terus berbenah untuk meenjadi yang terbaik.<\/div>\n
