Kemenangan yang diraih tim basket putra ITS atas UWM tersebut
\nsecara otomatis mengantarkan tim yang diarsiteki Elanggono Eka Putra tersebut lolos ke babak semifinal. Keberhasilan menembus babak final four<\/em> membuat ITS tinggal selangkah lagi mengulang prestasi di Campus League 2008.<\/em><\/p>\n

Saat itu, ITS secara mengejutkan mampu menembus babak grand final<\/em>. Sayang di babak pamungkas, ITS harus puas menjadi runner-up<\/em> usai ditundukkan tim putra Universitas Airlangga (Unair) lewat skor 67-57. Syarat untuk mengulang pencapaian di tahun 2008 cukup berat, sebab di laga semifinal yang berlangsung sore ini (22\/3), ITS akan menghadapi mantan juara tim basket putra Unair.<\/p>\n

Meskipun berat, seluruh punggawa ITS optimis akan mampu melakukan revans kekalahan di final tahun 2008. ”Tim ini tengah berada dalam kondisi yang prima, kami sangat termotivasi untuk kembali mengulang kesuksesan tersebut,” terang Maddis Abieza, asisten pelatih ITS.<\/p>\n

Euforia keberhasilan menembus babak semifinal Campus League<\/em> juga dirasakan oleh kapten tim basket putra ITS, Yoga Yuwana Sukamto. Menurutnya keberhasilan tersebut tak lepas dari kerja keras seluruh elemen tim.<\/p>\n

”Lawan (UWM, red) memberikan perlawanan yang sengit, secara skill <\/em>kami juga tak jauh berbeda dengan mereka. Namun kami tetap berusaha tenang dan memanfaatkan setiap turn over<\/em> yang mereka buat,” ucap Yoga.<\/p>\n

Meskipun menang telak, laga tersebut memang tak berlangsung mudah bagi tim basket putra ITS. Mengandalkan style<\/em> permainan cepat dengan strategi man to man<\/em>, ITS sempat leading<\/em> jauh di dua kuarter awal. Namun perubahan strategi yang dilakukan pelatih UWM, Bisih dengan merubah pola man to man<\/em> menjadi zone defense<\/em> menghambat laju ITS.<\/p>\n

Perlahan UWM mulai mengejar, tapi ketenangan anak-anak ITS membuat mereka mengakhiri pertandingan dengan kemenangan 51-31. Kemenangan tersebut menjadi bekal penting untuk menghadapi Unair di babak final four.<\/em><\/p>\n

”Secara fundamental maupun endurance anak-anak sangat siap. Tapi yang terpenting mereka harus mampu bermain dengan disiplin, tanggung jawab dan kerja keras untuk menghadapi pertandingan besok (hari ini.red),” tutup Maddis.(oly\/nay)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
