Menurutnya, kawasan-kawasan ini kini sudah mulai dilupakan. Lebih miris lagi, kawasan yang dulunya merupakan kebanggaan masyarakat kini berubah fungsi dan tidak terurus.<\/p>\n<p>Rifki mencontohkan, kawasan Kembang Jepun dulunya merupakan pusat kegiatan masyarakat dan daerah perdagangan yang ramai. Tapi kini, kawasan ini mulai ditinggalkan. Gedung-gedung bersejarah yang berdiri sejak zaman penjajahan saat ini banyak yang beralih fugsi menjadi gudang. &#8221;Kawasan ini harus dijaga agar tidak dilupakan,&#8221; katanya.<\/p>\n<p>Walaupun begitu, Rifki masih bersyukur, gedung-gedung warisan kota di Surabaya masih dipertahankan bentuk aslinya. Ia membandingkan, gedung-gedung bersejarah di Kota Bandung dan Jakarta kini banyak yang dirombak dan dikomersilkan. <\/p>\n<p>Padahal, menurut Rifki gedung-gedung di kawasan<em> heritage<\/em> harus dijaga keasliannya karena berfungsi sebagai saksi sejarah. &#8221;Karena itulah, melalui Planopolis kami berupaya untuk membawa kembali kesadaran masyarakat tentang kawasan-kawasan bersejarah tersebut,&#8221; tutur mahasiswa asal Kediri, Jawa Timur ini.<\/p>\n<p>Di akhir Maret nanti, Planopolis akan menggelar kegiatan bertajuk <em>Amazing Race<\/em>. Kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk penelusuran Kota Surabaya. Pesertanya tidak dibatasi untuk kalangan tertentu saja, melainkan dibuka untuk umum. Dalam kegiatan ini, peserta harus mencapai pos-pos tertentu yang tersebar di seluruh penjuru kota. &#8221;Pos-posnya, <em>ya<\/em> itu tadi, kawasan-kawasan <em>heritage<\/em> di penjuru Surabaya,&#8221; jelas Rifki.<\/p>\n<p>Pada kegiatan ini, peserta diminta untuk menelusuri kawasan-kawasan bersejarah seperti Kembang Jepun, Pintu air Jagir dan kawasan Ampel. Untuk mencapai tempat-tempat tersebut, mereka hanya diberikan uang transportasi terbatas dan tidak diperkenankan membawa kendaraan pribadi. &#8221;Selama melakukan penelusuran, peserta bisa berinteraksi dengan masyarakat setempat,&#8221; ungkap Rifki.<br \/><strong><br \/>Dibuka dengan Flashmob<\/strong><br \/>Rangkaian kegiatan Planopolis dimulai dengan diadakannya kegiatan <em>Carnival<\/em>. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di Taman Bungkul ini langsung melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat di dalamnya. &#8221;Di <em>Carnival<\/em>, kami mengadakan <em>flashmob<\/em> dan kuis sejarah kota,&#8221; ujar Rifki.<\/p>\n<p>Rifki menceritakan, walaupun banyak masyarakat yang malu-malu mengikuti <em>flashmob<\/em>, namun tidak sedikit pula yang langsung berpartisipasi. &#8221;Usai <em>flashmob<\/em>, kami langsung memberikan pertanyaan-pertanyaan sejarah kepada masyarakat yang berada di sana,&#8221; terang Rifki.<\/p>\n<p>Selain <em>Amazing Race<\/em> dan <em>Carnival<\/em>, dalam Planopolis kali ini juga akan diadakan beberapa kegiatan lain yakni, <em>Plano Night<\/em> dan Deseminasi Tugas Akhir. &#8221;Kami berharap, rangkaian Planopolis ini bisa menjadi sumbangsih kami sebagai mahasiswa dalam melestarikan kawasan-kawasan bersejarah,&#8221; pungkas Rifki.
