Mereka adalah Shyh-Jye Jerry Jou, Dr Sau-Gee Chen, Dr Wen-Chih Chen, Dr Niann-Shiah Wang, dan Janet Chen. &#8221;Mereka melakukan sosialisasi beasiswa sekaligus <em>interview<\/em> dengan mahasiswa yang tertarik melanjutkan kuliah di sana,&#8221; terang Muhammad Wahyu Islami PM, koordinator <em>volunteer<\/em> Internasional Office (IO) ITS.<\/p>\n<p>Janet Chen, Staff Office International Affairs NCTU, menjelaskan kerja sama ini dilatarbelakangi kesamaan <em>background<\/em> dan bidang ITS yaitu bidang teknik. Dalam paparannya, Janet turut menawarkan berbagai jenis beasiswa bagi mahasiswa ITS, diantaranya <em>NCTU Scholarship, Taiwan Scholarship<\/em> dan <em>Joint Scholarships with Research Facilities<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Setiap program beasiswa memiliki persyaratan yang berbeda. Kemampuan berbahasa inggris menjadi poin nomor satu.&#8221;Prestasi akademik di kampus hingga TOEFL juga menjadi aspek penilaian, minimal TOEFL 500,&#8221; terang Janet. Menariknya, mahasiswa akan mendapat kursus bahasa mandarin secara gratis saat diterima di NCTU.<\/p>\n<p>Selain menawarkan beasiswa, NCTU juga melakukan berbagai kerja sama dengan ITS. Diantaranya<em>, faculty and student exchange<\/em>, <em>collaboration research<\/em> hingga <em>joint research publication<\/em>. &#8221;Rencananya sudah lama dibahas. Akhirnya bisa terwujud,&#8221; ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam kesempatan yang sama, digelar pula sesi <em>interview on the spot<\/em> yang dilakukan oleh delegasi dari NCTU. Peserta dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok kecil, bidang <em>science<\/em>, <em>computer science<\/em> dan <em>engineering<\/em>. Layaknya interview umumnya, setiap peserta mendapat berbagai pertanyaan tentang prestasi akademik dan bidang keahlian.
