Tahun ini Station memberi hadiah khusus berupa tiket masuk Jurusan Statistika ITS kepada tim peraih medali emas. Hadiah tersebut berhasil dibawa pulang oleh Mohamad Wildanus Solihin dan Dyah Prabaningrum. Keduanya berhasil menyisihkan lebih dari 1700 tim dari seluruh penjuru nusantara. ”Tiket tersebut dapat dilampirkan ketika mengikuti tes tulis Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN)” kata Dr Muhammad Mashuri MT, Ketua Jurusan Statistika ITS.<\/p>\n

Final Station 2013 sengaja disajikan berbeda dengan olimpiade pada umumnya. Peserta dihadapkan pada sejumlah data yang harus dianalisis menggunakan konsep prinsip berfikir secara statistik. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengetahuan, kemampuan analisis data, serta mencari solusi dari kasus yang disajikan. Masing-masing tim harus menunjukkan hasil analisanya tentang karakteristik penduduk Indonesia beserta kaitannya dengan fenomena bonus demografi Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Dyah mengaku terkejut dengan soal yang disajikan pada final Station 2013. Siswa asal Madiun ini mengatakan bahwa dalam bayangannya semua soal akan dipenuhi perhitungan dan rumus. ”Saya justru bersyukur karena yang keluar justru berupa soal analisis, bukan hitung-hitungan,” ungkap Dyah. <\/p>\n

Hasil analisis peserta selanjutnya disampaikan dalam sesi presentasi. Sesi terakhir ini menjadi ujung tombak perjuangan finalis Station 2013. Finalis berhadapan langsung dengan empat juri Station 2013. Keempat juri tersebut adalah Drs Kresnayana Yahya MSc, Dr Dra Ismaini Zain,  Dr Suhartono SSi MSc, dan Ardhil SSi Msi. <\/p>\n

Berbeda dengan sembilan tim lainnya, Wildan dan Dyah membuka sesi presentasi mereka dengan bahasa Inggris. Meski di luar proporsi penilaian, juri menganggap penampilan Wildan dan Dyah ini menunjukkan awalan yang bagus dan menarik perhatian. Alhasil, selain mendapat gelar juara 1 Station 2013, tim asal regional Malang ini juga membawa pulang gelar sebagai Presentasi Terbaik. ”Tahun ini finalis Station menghadirkan peserta yang lebih variatif, meskipun analisis yang ditampilkan masih konservatif dan sedikit kurang berani,” ungkap Ismaini, salah satu juri Station 2013.
