Didampingi beberapa rekan dari IPC, Direktur IPC, Richard Joost Lino hadir dalam penandatanganan kerja sama IPC dengan ITS. Kerja sama yang disepakati meliputi dua bidang, yakni bidang pendidikan dan pengabdian masyarakat. Menurut rencana, kerjasama ITS dan IPC ini akan berlangsung selama dua tahun hingga 2015.<\/p>\n

Kerjasama dalam bidang pendidikan dijalankan melalui program pelatihan dari ITS kepada pegawai IPC. Seperti dalam bidang manajemen pelabuhan, operasi material handling<\/em> pelabuhan, survei, perawatan kapal port-tug<\/em>, dan rekayasa pantai. <\/p>\n

Sedangkan pengabdian masyarakat direalisasikan melalui penyediaan tenaga ahli dan peralatan laboratorium oleh ITS. ”Dalam hal ini, Jurusan Teknik Perkapalan akan bekerja sama dalam penyediaan sarana operasional kapal di pelabuhan,” terang Prof Ir I Ketut Aria Pria Utama MSc PhD CEng FRINA, Ketua Jurusan Teknik Perkapalan (JTP). <\/p>\n

Dalam kesempatan ini, JTP juga menawarkan kerja sama dalam bidang risk based inspection maintainence for material<\/em>. Dengan memfokuskan diri pada maintainence<\/em>, pria yang akrab disapa Ikap ini yakin IPC akan mendapatkan keuntungan yang lebih baik selain biaya pengeluaran yang juga akan lebih murah.<\/p>\n

Pelaksanaan kerja sama dengan ITS sendiri merupakan perwujudan transformasi IPC yang mengusung slogan energizing trade, energizing Indonesia<\/em>. Hal ini dilakukan IPC untuk melakukan perbaikan di berbagai aspek, yang tujuannya adalah untuk ikut meningkatkan pertumubah ekonomi Indonesia melalui perbaikan di sektor perdagangan dan pelabuhan.
