Pencurian terjadi ketika dua orang yang semula berada di gedung meninggalkan lab untuk salat jumat di Masjid Manarul Ilmi (MMI) ITS. Masing-masing dua unit laptop merek Apple dan Toshiba, dua buah handphone merek Samsung Galaxy dan Nokia X2, serta sebuah handycam<\/em> merek Sony, berhasil diboyong pencuri. Tidak hanya itu, dua buah tas berisi dokumen pun turut dijarah.<\/p>\n

Barang-barang berharga tersebut adalah milik Imam Arifin, dosen Jurusan Teknik Elektro, serta dua mahasiswa asisten lab B-105, Dhimas Satria Wisnu dan M Abdoel Hadi. Seperti hari-hari sebelumnya, mereka beraktivitas di lab sejak pagi hari. Karena suasana kampus sedang liburan, tak banyak kegiatan mahasiswa di lab.<\/p>\n

Sekitar pukul 10.45, Dhimas keluar dari lab dan pulang ke kos untuk persiapan salat jumat. Lalu, disusul oleh Imam dan Hadi yang keluar dari lab sekitar pukul 11.30 menuju MMI ITS.<\/p>\n

Kala itu, mereka meninggalkan barang-barang berharga tersebut di atas meja besar di tengah lab. Tidak terpikirkan akan terjadi sesuatu, lantaran mereka telah mengunci rapat dua lapis pintu lab. Yakni, sebuah pintu lab yang dilapisi dengan pagar besi.<\/p>\n

Informasi dari SKK yang mengolah Tempat Kejadian Perkara (TKP), Bowo Teguh, Imam sebagai kepala laboratorium tersebut adalah satu-satunya pembawa kunci lab. Imam mengatakan, sangat yakin telah mengunci dua pintu tersebut sebelum berangkat ke masjid bersama Hadi.<\/p>\n

Namun, sekitar pukul 12.45 ketika Imam dan Hadi kembali ke lab selepas salat jumat, dua pintu tersebut ditemukan telah terbuka. Setelah mereka masuk dan memeriksa lab, ternyata barang berharga dan dokumen penting milik mereka telah raib.<\/p>\n

Mereka segera melapor ke SKK yang diteruskan ke pihak yang berwajib, yakni Polsek Sukolilo. Diduga pencuri tidak hanya satu orang saja, lantaran barang yang mereka bawa juga terbilang tidak sedikit.<\/p>\n

Dari TKP, bisa terlihat para pencuri menerobos pintu gedung dengan menggunakan linggis. Sebab, di lubang kunci pintu terdapat bekas hantaman benda keras. Bahkan kaca jendela di samping pintu pertama terlihat pecah. ”Kunci pintu itu kemungkinan dicongkel paksa,” tutur Bowo. Hingga saat ini, polisi masih melakukan penyelidikan terhadap kasus tersebut.<\/p>\n

Padahal, menurut kebanyakan mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Elektro, Lab B-105 bukanlah lab yang banyak dimasuki orang. Tak sembarang orang boleh masuk, hanya beberapa mahasiswa tertentu yang kerap mengerjakan Tugas Akhir (TA). Sehingga, keamanan di lab tersebut dinilai cukup memadai. ”Sudah satu tahun diterapkan seperti itu,” lanjutnya.<\/p>\n

Jurusan Teknik Elektro memang tidak memiliki seorang penjaga gedung yang bisa bertugas 24 jam untuk mengamankan gedung dari orang asing. Seharusnya, lanjut Bowo, seluruh jurusan menerapkan sistem kemananan seperti itu. Sehingga, meski ditinggal, gedung tetap ada yang menjaga. Penjaga pun mampu membedakan mana mahasiswa dan orang asing.<\/p>\n

Hingga saat ini, jurusan di ITS yang telah menerapkan sistem tersebut hanya Jurusan Kimia, Desain Produk Industri, Teknik Mesin serta Teknik Material dan Metalurgi. Sementara itu, spot lain yang rawan pencurian di kampus ITS, MMI, masih belum memiliki sistem penjagaan yang ketat.
