Acara Kementerian Kesejahteraan Mahasiswa BEM ITS ini dirancang untuk mendobrak daya minat mahasiswa ITS untuk dapat mengenyam pendidikan di luar negeri. ”Ini adalah konsekuensi menuju world class university<\/em>,” ujar Imron Gozali, Presiden BEM ITS.<\/p>\n

Pada pelaksanaanya, kegiatan ini diisi oleh pembicara yang berkompeten. Selain perwakilan IO, Rahman Dwi Wahyudi ST, lulusan double degree,<\/em> dan Sudibyo ST peserta Summer Course <\/em>turut menjadi pembicara.<\/p>\n

Nurul menerangkan beberapa program studi ke luar negeri. ”Sedikitnya ada dua jalur yang bisa ditempuh, yakni melalui jalur degree<\/em> maupun non-degree<\/em>,” jelasnya. Untuk jalur degree<\/em>, mahasiswa dapat mendapatkannya melalui program master<\/em>, doctoral <\/em>dan double degree<\/em>. Sedangkan pada jalur non-degree<\/em>, terdapat program-program seperti Summer Course, International Conference, Student Exchange, <\/em>dan Internship.<\/em><\/p>\n

Rahman Dwi Wahyudi bercerita mengenai suasana yang terdapat pada internasional class<\/em>. Ia menceritakan pengalamannya selama menjadi mahasiswa double degree<\/em> di National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. ”Ada banyak manfaat yang akan kita dapat. Seperti memiliki wawasan global, meningkatkan daya jual di dunia kerja, belajar mandiri, dan memiliki koneksi multinasional,” terang alumni Teknik Industri ITS ini.<\/p>\n

Atmosfer Summer Course <\/em>bersama Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) menjadi  materi penutup yang disampaikan oleh Sudibyo. Summer Course <\/em>merupakan salah satu ajang untuk memperkenalkan nilai-nilai budaya dari suatu negara kepada dunia global melalui jalur pendidikan. ”Dalam Summer Course<\/em>, kita akan mendapatkan sebuah project <\/em>tertentu dan juga dapat belajar bersama host university<\/em>,” tutur alumni Teknik Lingkungan ITS ini.<\/p>\n

Agar dapat mengenyam program-program tersebut, setidaknya terdapat beberapa persyaratan yang harus dimiliki. Seperti transkrip nilai, sertifikat, nilai TOEFL minimal 500, dan CV. Surat rekomendasi dan sebuah surat mengenai tujuan mengikuti salah satu program juga diperlukan untuk menguatkan persyaratan.<\/p>\n
