Idealnya, minimal jumlah mahasiswa teknik minimal sebesar 20 persen dari total mahasiswa. Ia melanjutkan bahwa sarjana teknik dibutuhkan untuk memajukan Indonesia di bidang teknologi.<\/p>\n<p> Oleh karena itulah pria kelahiran Surabaya ini membuat skenario rencana percepatan populasi sarjana teknik. Terdapat beberapa langkah strategis yang akan dilakukannya. <\/p>\n<p>Langkah pertama yaitu dengan menambah jumlah mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi negeri. Di tahun 2015, Nuh menargetkan jumlah mahasiswa teknik di Indonesia mencapai 15 persen. &#8221;Menambah jumlah mahasiswa tiga hingga empat persen sangat tidak mudah, oleh karena itu saya menantang ITS agar dapat menambah jumlah mahasiwanya,&#8221; jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Langkah strategis selanjutnya adalah mendirikan politeknik, universitas, atau institut baru. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena saat ini institut teknologi negeri yang ada di Indonesia hanya berjumlah dua yaitu ITS dan ITB. &#8221;ITB warisan Belanda dan ITS warisan pejuang,&#8221; imbuh Nuh.<\/p>\n<p>Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan juga memberikan dukungan penuh dalam bidang infrastruktur, dosen, dan operasional. &#8221;Tahun ini ditargetkan akan dibentuk total 10 politeknik, institut serta universitas negeri,&#8221; jelas Nuh.<\/p>\n<p>Langkah terakhir yang dilakukan yaitu pengesahan undang-undang pembentukan <em>community college,<\/em> yaitu akademi dengan jenjang pendidikan D1 dan D2 di tiap kabupaten atau kota. &#8221;Dibutuhkan dosen yang sangat banyak untuk merealisasikan hal tersebut,&#8221; terangnya.
