Kegiatan ILTC ini termasuk dalam serangkaian kegiatan Engineering Physics Week (EPW) 2012 yang diperuntukkan kepada kalangan pelajar SMA dan sederajat di Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Seiring dengan semangat Eco Campus yang diusung ITS saat ini, penyelenggaraan ILTC tahun ini pun mengangkat tema yang tak jauh dari isu teknologi ramah lingkungan. &#8221;Tema yang diusung EPW kali ini adalah Green Science for Nation,&#8221; ujar Ahmad Hisyam, koordinator pelaksana ILTC 2012<\/p>\n<p>Gelaran final ILTC 2012 ini pun berlangsung seru dan menegangkan. Setelah proses penjurian berakhir, rupanya robot Gemochizt dari SMAN 1 Manyar Gresik <em>lah<\/em> yang diumumkan berhasil meraih gelar Juara I ILTC tahun ini. Menariknya, SMAN 1 Manyar Gresik juga meraih Juara II dan III secara berurutan dengan karya robot Terkatung-katung dan Mumtaz.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Tak hanya itu, Juara Harapan juga diraih oleh robot Zeloth yang juga berasal dari SMAN 1 Manyar Gresik,&#8221; tutur Hisyam. Selain gelar juara utama dan harapan,&nbsp; gelar lain yang turut diperebutkan dalam ILTC tahun ini adalah <em>Best Design<\/em>, dan kali ini yang terpilih adalah robot Carox dari SMAN 1 Pamakesan.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui kegiatan ini para pelajar SMA diharapkan dapat terpacu untuk lebih meningkatkan wawasan teknologinya di bidang robotika. &#8221;Nantinya dengan pengalaman dan ilmu yang didapat, bisa dikembangkan untuk membuat suatu terobosan baru dalam bidang robotika,&#8221; pungkas Hisyam.
