Time rally<\/em> termasuk jenis olahraga otomotif yang populer. Peserta diharuskan mampu memecahkan soal dan mengikuti rute dengan memperhitungkan jarak, waktu, dan kecepatan selama race<\/em> berlangsung.<\/p>\n

”Kami ingin memperkenalkan olahraga time rally<\/em> kepada segenap SMRM,” ujar Kevin Yoga Pradana selaku ketua pelaksana Latber Rally 2011. Acara ini selain menjadi ajang refreshing<\/em> juga diharapkan mampu merekatkan SMRM secara internal.<\/p>\n

Dua puluh satu tim terbagi ke dalam dua kelompok, A dan B. Kelompok A merupakan peserta yang sudah punya pengalaman di bidang time rally<\/em>. Kelompok B diperuntukkan bagi para pemula.Masing-masing tim terdiri atas maksimal empat orang dan minimal dua orang. Satu orang bertugas sebagai driver<\/em> yang mengemudikan  mobil. Lainnya bertugas sebagai navigator <\/em>yang membaca soal. Sisanya adalah penumpang yang membantu tugas driver<\/em> dan navigator<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Pada time rally<\/em> kali ini, terdapat empat trayek yang digunakan dalam soal. Keempat trayek itu adalah trayek santai, trayek tulang ikan, trayek waspada, dan trayek tulip gambar. Setiap trayek memerlukan ketelitian dari tiap peserta.<\/p>\n

Rute time rally<\/em> kali ini tidak lebih dari tujuh puluh kilometer. Rute yang dilewati peserta meliputi Plaza Marina, RS William Booth, Airlangga Broadcast Education, dan Grha Sepuluh Nopember. Palang pintu FTI ITS menjadi zero point<\/em> atau tujuan akhir peserta. <\/p>\n

Setiap detik selisih waktu antara waktu peserta dengan master clock<\/em> atau waktu referensi akan dikenai penalty point<\/em>. Apabila peserta melewatkan pos selama time rally<\/em> juga akan dikenakan penalty point<\/em> untuk tiap pos. Peserta dengan penalty point<\/em> terkecil yang menjadi pemenangnya.<\/p>\n

Para peserta harus mematuhi peraturan lalu lintas yang berlaku. Kelengkapan teknis dan registrasi menjadi syarat sebelum mengikuti race<\/em>. Peserta yang kedapatan melakukan tindakan tidak wajar selama mengemudi akan dikenai sanksi bahkan dapat didiskualifikasi.<\/p>\n

”Kecepatan rata-rata selama race<\/em> tidak lebih dari 16 km\/jam,” tutur Irwan Nugraha Saputra selaku racing committee<\/em>. Irwan menambahkan bahwa keamanan dan keselamatan peserta tetap menjadi prioritas utama panitia. Panitia bekerja sama dengan Polsek, Polrestabes, dan Satlantas untuk membantu berjalannya time rally<\/em> ini.<\/p>\n

”Senang sekali bisa mengikuti time rally<\/em> ini,” tutur M. Falah Dias Sunandi, salah satu peserta yang meraih juara III kelas A. Para peserta berharap melalui pengalaman Latber Time Rally ini, nantinya dapat mengikuti kegiatan serupa dengan skala yang lebih besar.<\/p>\n
