Jumlah yang tak banyak ini bukan tanpa alasan. Menurut Head of<\/em> Comdev, Rima Diniatul Hasanah, acara ini memang diatur demikian. ”Kami ingin pelatihan ini eksklusif,” terangnya.<\/p>\n

BOSS ini terbilang berbeda, meski tetap fokus terhadap pembentukan soft skill<\/em> mahasiswa untuk menghadapi seleksi di dunia kerja. Namun, materi yang diberikan berkaitan dengan Focus Group Discussion (FGD), salah satu bentuk seleksi kerja yang tidak banyak diketahui.<\/p>\n

Didaulat sebagai pembicara pada acara tersebut, Widyo Rulyantoko, alumni Teknik Kimia ITS. Dalam paparannya, Widyo banyak menjelaskan perbedaan mendasar mengenai FGD dengan bentuk seleksi lain seperti wawancara dan personal presentation. ”Seringkali, ketiganya disamakan. Padahal, berbeda,” lanjut Human Resources of PT Bentoel Investama ini.<\/p>\n

Lebih lanjut, Widyo menerangkan jika FGD menekankan pada penilaian behaviour<\/em>. Segala bentuk sikap dinilai pada FGD ini. Termasuk antusiasme dan keberanian dalam menyampaikan pendapat. Tetapi di sisi lain, kebenaran jawaban bukan merupakan prioritas utama.<\/p>\n

Dalam kesempatan ini, peserta tidak hanya mendapatkan materi saja. Guna memberikan gambaran lebih mengenai FGD, peserta diberi kesempatan melakukan simulasi FGD. Simulasi ini diwakili oleh lima peserta yang masing-masing bertindak sebagai Direktur. Sayangnya, lima belas menit yang diberikan tidak dapat dimaksimalkan oleh para peserta.<\/p>\n

Bagi Widyo, hal itu bukanlah masalah. Pasalnya, dalam FGD yang sesungguhnya jarang sekali masalah yang diberikan dapat terselesaikan. ”Berani memulai dan berani menjadi penengah adalah salah satu kunci keberhasilan FGD,” lanjut mantan Sekretaris Jenderal Senat Mahasiswa ITS ini.
