Kampus ITS- ”Pahlawan itu peduli" , ujar P. Daniel M. Rosyid. Beliau adalah salah satu Dosen Teknik Kelautan sebagai pembicara diskusi terbuka Seminar Nasional Magnet (11\/11) di Theater B Jurusan Fisika ITS dengan tema Refleksi Hari pahlawan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Dikatakan bahwa pahlawan adalah seseorang yang peduli. Bisa dikatakan sekarang ini sedang krisis kepedulian, yaitu kurangnya interaksi sosial terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Seseorang cendenrung percaya dengan apa yang dilihat saat itu, tanpa memperdulikan faktor lain. Pikiran negatif lebih sering muncul untuk menilai sesuatu yang dilihatnya.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Kemajuan teknologi merupakan salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan kurangnya kepedulian. Dengan perubahan zaman yang semakin maju membuat segala sesuatunya lebih mudah. Dari mulai mendapatkan informasi hingga barang dan jasa yang diinginkan. Hal tersebut menjelaskan bahwa individu yang tidak membutuhkan orang lain dalam hidupnya.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Dewasa ini segala sesuatunya mampu didapatkan sekalipun tanpa kata-kata. Contoh singkatnya adalah ketika memasuki sebuah <\/span>supermarket<\/span>, dengan diam saja pun kita sudah mampu mendapatkan apa yang kita inginkan. Lain halnya dengan pasar tradisional yang perlu adanya sebuah interaksi yang membawa pengaruh sosial yang baik dengan lingkungan sekitar.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Salah satu peserta diskusi menambahkan dalam pembahasannya sebuah peribahasa Jawa yang berbunyi <\/span>" Sepi ing pamrih, rame ing gawe ". <\/span>Yang mengandung maksud peduli tanpa mengharapkan imbalan sedikitpun. " Kita harus mampu memposisikan diri sesulit orang yang kita bantu" ucapnya.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Kepedulian itu sendiri dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara yang sederhana, seperti dengan memberi penghargaan kepada orang lain, mengamati lingkungan sekitar, mendekatkan diri tidak hanya pada satu golongan. Dan hal tersebut sangat membutuhkan adanya interaksi, sehingga kepedulian itu akan lahir dengan sendirinya.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Beberapa pesan disampaikan oleh pembicara pada diskusi tersebut kepada kita generasi muda yang seharusnya memahami bahwa kepedulian itu merupakan kebutuhan kita sendiri, bisa dikatakan ketika kita tidak sedikit pun peduli terhadap keadaan sekitar, ketika itu kita akan merasa rugi sebagai makhluk sosial. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Hiduplah juga untuk orang lain, karena seseorang yang tidak mampu peduli kepada orang lain ketika mati akan menjadi orang yang kerdil dan sebaliknya ketika mampu peduli kepada orang lain ketika mati akan menjadi orang yang besar.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
