Menyadari hal tersebut, ITS dan UT berupaya meningkatkan kualitas SDM melalui mutu mahasiswa di kedua universitas.<\/p>\n<p>Rektor ITS, Prof Dr Ir Tri Yogi Yuwono DEA mengaku bangga, ITS dapat bekerja sama dengan salah satu Universitas dengan jumlah mahasiswa terbanyak di Indonesia yaitu sekitar 600 ribu mahasiswa tersebut. &#8221;Kami berharap kerja sama ini bisa memberi yang terbaik bagi kedua belah pihak,&#8221; jelas Tri Yogi dalam sambutannya.<\/p>\n<p>UT sendiri merupakan perguruan tinggi negeri yang berlokasi di kota-kota besar di Indonesia. Sehingga tidak memungkinkan mendirikan bangunan yang luas dan menyediakan fasilitas pembelajaran secara lengkap di setiap kampusnya. Untuk itu, UT berusaha bersinergi dengan perguruan tinggi di setiap kota. &#8221;Kami mengharapkan ITS dapat menfasilitasi mahasiswa kami, misalnya laboratorium dan peralatan praktikum sehingga ITS dan UT dapat bersinergi,&#8221; ungkap Rektor UT, Prof Ir Tian Belawati MEd PhD.<\/p>\n<p>Meski ITS dan UT memiliki perbedaan dalam hal kontribusi kepada masyarakat,&nbsp; Tian menilai kerja sama tersebut sangat penting. &#8221;ITS bertugas melahirkan insinyur-insinyur hebat, sedangkan UT bertugas memeratakan pendidikan,&#8221; jelas Tian.<\/p>\n<p>Ke depan, Rektor UT berharap dapat bekerja sama dengan ITS di bidang-bidang lainnya agar dapat menghasilkan generasi penerus yang unggul. &#8221;Kami berharap kerja sama ini bisa berlanjut,&#8221; pungkasnya.
