Sebab, dengan mengikuti ESQ ini, mahasiswa nantinya bisa mengendalikan dirinya. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Saya yakin, kalian semua sudah dewasa,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d katanya saat membuka ESQ <em>in-house training<\/em> mahasiswa baru ITS Angkatan 2 Tahun 2011, di Grha ITS.<\/p>\n<p>Menurutnya, seorang mahasiswa yang sudah dewasa itu harus bisa mandiri, mampu mengendalikan diri, dan makin mendekatkan diri kepada Allah. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Seorang dewasa itu harus bisa mengurus diri sendiri dan tidak mudah marah. Di acara ini nanti, kalian akan dibimbing oleh panitia untuk menjadi seperti itu,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Yogi juga berpesan agar mahasiswa baru bisa membebaskan dirinya dari ketergantungan kepada orang tua. Termasuk ketergantungan financial. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Pelan-pelan kalian semua harus mandiri, pasti bisa,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d pesannya.<\/p>\n<p>Tindak lanjut dari ESQ basic training ini nantinya adalah pelaksanaan mentoring, seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Pelatihan tersebut mengajak peserta merenung tentang penciptaan alam semesta. Terkadang, diselipkan pula ayat Al-Quran. Tak ayal, sebagian besar peserta tak mampu menahan air matanya selama proses perenungan yang dipandu oleh&nbsp;<em>trainer<\/em>&nbsp;dari ESQ Training Center, lembaga pelatihan character building yang sudah memiliki ribuan alumni ini.<\/p>\n<p>Pembentukan karakter tersebut dimaksudkan melalui penggabungan 3 potensi manusia yaitu kecerdasan intelektual, emosional, dan spiritual. Selama ini, ketiga potensi tersebut terpisah dan tidak didayagunakan secara optimal untuk membangun sumber daya manusia.<\/p>\n<p>Di hari pertama, para mahasiswa mendapatkan materi tentang mengenalan ESQ 165 serta kepemimpinan. Di hari kedua peserta mendapatkan materi tentang learning principle dan ESQ 165 model. Dalam ESQ model dikenal raga, jiwa, sukma, dan belenggu. Belenggu tersebut harus berusaha dihilangkan. Selain itu, dijelaskan pula tentang keajaiban yang terdapat dalam Al Qur&#8217;an, seperti teori ledakan besar (<em>big bang<\/em>).
