The ITS PSM team appeared on stage singing religious songs at the 11th FESPA Ubaya 2026<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014\u00a0<\/span><\/b>The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS<\/a><\/span>\u00a0) Student Choir Team (PSM)\u00a0has once again achieved a proud achievement at the national level. At the 11th Surabaya University Choir Festival (FESPA Ubaya) 2026, PSM ITS became a Grand Prix Finalist and won a gold medal in the Musica Religiosa category.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

ITS Student Choir Chairwoman Laura Amelinda stated that her team achieved this feat after a series of competitive performances. She stated that both results were a source of pride for all team members. “We are very grateful for the results we achieved in this competition,” said the\u00a0<\/span>ITS Urban and Regional Planning<\/span><\/a>\u00a0student , happily.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Grand Prix Finalists, the ITS Choir performed “Great God Almighty” by Stacey Gibbs. Meanwhile, in the Musica Religiosa category, the team performed two songs: “Sehet, Welch eine Liebe” by Homilius and “Jubilate Deo” by Motshwane Pege. “Broadly speaking, these songs express awe of God,” Laura explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond the achievements and quality of the performances, preparation was equally crucial. Laura revealed that her team practiced together four times a week, along with individual practice sessions for each vocal group. “We’ve been preparing for this competition for approximately one month,” she added.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ITS PSM team took a group photo after winning the gold medal in the Musica Religiosa category and becoming the Grand Prix Finalist at the 11th FESPA Ubaya 2026.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The bespectacled woman revealed that the team certainly encountered several obstacles during the training process. The adaptation process for new members and the busy schedule of lectures presented challenges during the preparation period. However, this also provided an opportunity for the new members to experience competing with the ITS PSM.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, ITS Choir upholds the values \u200b\u200bof consistency, commitment, and camaraderie as key strengths. The unity and synergy among members contribute to the harmony that enables the team to convey the meaning of each song in a touching and comprehensive manner. “The key is hard work and supporting one another,” said Laura.<\/span><\/p>\n

The success of the ITS Choir in the 2026 Ubaya FESPA demonstrates ITS’s support for developing student potential and talents beyond academic activities. Competitions are also crucial for enhancing competence, self-confidence, and collaboration among students. Furthermore, this activity aligns with the fourth point of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Quality Education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This achievement strengthens the ITS Choir’s role in the choral arts. Laura hopes this achievement will motivate all members to continue developing and achieving greater successes in the future. “Hopefully, ITS Choir will continue to contribute and make ITS and even Indonesia proud,” she said enthusiastically.\u00a0<\/span>(*)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n
