ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014\u00a0<\/span><\/b>The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0continues to strengthen its digital financial services transformation by signing a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). The collaboration, a Host-to-Host Partnership, took place at the ITS Rectorate Building on Friday (April 8).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Starting from the goal\u00a0<\/span>of realizing an integrated, modern, and sustainable digital financial ecosystem<\/span><\/i>\u00a0, this synergy marks a new chapter in strengthening the campus financial system. This commitment was realized through the signing of a cooperation agreement by ITS Vice Rector II for Planning, Finance, and Infrastructure, Dr. Machsus ST MT, and BSI Surabaya Raya Area Head, Asbi Rachman Faried.<\/span><\/p>\n

ITS Chancellor Prof. Dr. (HC) Ir. Bambang Pramujati ST MScEng PhD gave a speech at the signing ceremony of the PKS between ITS and BSI.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The event was witnessed by ITS Rector Prof. Ir. Bambang Pramujati, ST, MSc, Eng, PhD, and the leadership of BSI Regional Office (RO) 12 Surabaya. In his remarks, Bambang stated that the need for a fast and hassle-free transaction system was one of the main reasons for strengthening the collaboration. “Updating the financial system is a crucial step to support increasingly dynamic campus activities,” said the ITS Professor of Mechanical Engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

Targeting the payroll system for educational staff and lecturers at ITS, this digital service integration will also simplify student financial administration processes. With a more connected system, tuition payments and other transactions are expected to proceed more smoothly, without the technical issues often encountered with the previous system.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bambang also added that this collaboration is not simply about integrating financial services, but also addresses the academic community’s need for a more efficient system. According to him, fast and seamless financial services will support academic productivity in carrying out academic and administrative activities. “We want a faster and more accurate payroll system in Islamic banking to be realized immediately through this host-to-host integration,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regional CEO RO 12 Muhammad Arif Gunawan responded to suggestions and input from the ITS campus during the meeting and signing of the PKS between ITS and BSI.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In line with this, Muhammad Arif Gunawan, Regional CEO of BSI RO 12 Surabaya, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara, emphasized BSI’s readiness to support the implementation of a system tailored to ITS’s needs. He stated that this collaboration is a joint effort to provide more optimal digital financial services on campus. “Through this collaboration, we are ready to implement various technical aspects to support the development of the financial system at ITS,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, this collaboration between ITS and BSI is expected to have a broader impact through the management of the ITS Endowment Fund based on sharia instruments. Optimizing these investment returns is expected to support various educational assistance programs, allowing more benefits to be allocated to meet student needs.<\/span><\/p>\n

This partnership demonstrates ITS’s commitment to delivering innovative services that are not only oriented toward efficiency but also long-term benefits for the academic community. In addition to supporting the strengthening of a modern Islamic economy on campus, this collaboration also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically point 4 on Quality Education and point 17 on Partnerships to Achieve the Goals.\u00a0<\/span>(*)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
