ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014\u00a0<\/span><\/b>To foster sustainable relationships with international university partners,\u00a0<\/span>the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is once again holding International Staff Mobility (ISM). This activity, organized by\u00a0<\/span>the ITS Directorate of Global Partnerships (DKG),<\/span><\/a>\u00a0will take place at\u00a0<\/span>the ITS Global Language Center (UPBG)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for five days, starting Monday (May 4).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Cahyani Satiya Pratiwi, SS, Head of the ITS UPBG, explained that the event introduced Indonesian culture to 30 staff members from partner universities from eight countries. Several foreign universities were directly involved in the event, including the Shibaura Institute of Technology, Thuyloi University, and the University of Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the woman, familiarly known as Yani, explained that ISM serves as a form of support in increasing the appeal of ITS’s internationalization program. Through the positive impressions they create, it is hoped that partner university staff will introduce ITS to students at their home universities. “Therefore, collaborations such as student exchanges can emerge from the series of ISM activities,” she added.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to introducing ITS, the event also included a series of activities, including\u00a0<\/span>games<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and an introduction to Indonesian culture, language, and culinary specialties. These activities allowed participants to exchange experiences and insights through interactions. “We also introduced the city of Surabaya and tourist destinations in East Java,” he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Dr. Yasmin Abdul Abdul Wahab, a representative from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ts, expressed her appreciation for the series of ISM activities. She believes that a global-scale program like this can enhance the potential of students at each university. “I hope this exciting and meaningful activity, which brings partners together, can be repeated in the future,” she said, enjoying the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

This activity, which involves collaboration between the ITS UPBG and the ITS DKG, will indirectly enhance ITS’s presence on the international stage. The involvement of several universities in ISM activities also aligns with ITS’s commitment to realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Points supported include point 4 on quality education and point 17 on partnerships to achieve these goals.\u00a0<\/span>(*)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n
