ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014<\/strong> Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> again held its 133rd Graduation for 1,770 graduates over two days, starting Saturday (18\/4). Specially, this graduation event was also attended directly by the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Transmigration (Mentrans) Dr Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara SH MA on the first day.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In his speech, ITS Rector Prof Dr (HC) Ir Bambang Pramujati ST MScEng PhD expressed his pride and gratitude to all graduates who have completed their study period well. “Congratulations on all of your achievements, hopefully the knowledge gained will become a provision to face future challenges,” stated this 13th ITS Rector to all graduates.<\/p>\n

On the same occasion, the Minister of Transmigration, who is familiarly called Iftitah, also conveyed his congratulations to the graduates on the academic achievements they have reached. He reminded of the importance of readiness to face future challenges. “Congratulations on the achievements you have all reached, hopefully successful in facing a world full of challenges,” he said motivatingly.<\/p>\n

In the graduation implementation on the first day, it was participated by 702 graduates from four different faculties. Namely the Faculty of Science and Data Analytics (FSAD)<\/a>, Faculty of Marine Technology (FTK)<\/a>, Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (FTEIC)<\/a>, and the Vocational Faculty (FV)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, on the second day, this 133rd Graduation event will be divided into two sessions. In the first session, the attending graduates are from the Faculty of Industrial Technology and Systems Engineering (FTIRS)<\/a>, Faculty of Civil, Planning, and Geo Engineering (FTSPK)<\/a>, Faculty of Creative Design and Digital Business (FDKBD)<\/a>, and the Faculty of Medicine and Health (FKK)<\/a>. Meanwhile, the second session is specifically for graduates of the Interdisciplinary School of Management and Technology (SIMT)<\/a> as well as the inauguration for graduates of the ITS Engineer Professional Program Study Program (PSPPI)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition, this graduation event also became an award arena for graduates who have carved proud achievements during their college years. The ITS Rector disclosed that these achievements show that ITS graduates are very ready to compete globally. “The achievements reached show that ITS graduates have high quality and competitiveness at the global level,” disclosed this Professor of the ITS Mechanical Engineering Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of the total 1,770 graduates, 271 of them graduated with a Cum Laude<\/em> predicate, 106 graduates with a Magna Cum Laude<\/em> predicate, and 57 graduates with a Summa Cum Laude<\/em> predicate. Meanwhile, out of 128 graduates who received the Smart Indonesia Card-College (KIP-K) Scholarship, there were 30 graduates with a Cum Laude predicate, seven graduates with a Magna Cum Laude<\/em> predicate, and one person with a Summa Cum Laude<\/em> predicate.<\/p>\n

In the Bachelor’s degree (S1) program, the title of best graduate was held by a young puppeteer Christopher Jason Santoso<\/a> from the ITS Development Studies Department<\/a> with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.98. Christopher also holds the title of the best graduate receiving the KIP-K Scholarship, which was then followed by Muhammad Tsaqif from the ITS Statistics Department<\/a> with a GPA of 3.87.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the best graduate at the Applied Bachelor’s degree (D4) level is Muhammad Fadhli from the Manufacturing Engineering Technology Study Program of the ITS Instrumentation Engineering Department<\/a> with a GPA of 3.78. Not only that, there were nine Master’s program (S2) graduates and three Doctoral (S3) graduates who successfully obtained a perfect GPA of 4. In addition, ITS also graduated seven foreign students coming from Afghanistan, Tanzania, Gambia, Ethiopia, Cambodia, and Jordan.<\/p>\n

Interestingly also, this graduation event produced the first graduates from the Faculty of Medicine and Health (FKK), namely from the Medical Technology S1 Study Program<\/a>. Besides that, there were also the first graduates of the Telecommunication Engineering S1 Study Program<\/a> from the ITS Electrical Engineering Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ending his speech, Bambang advised all graduates to maintain the good name of their alma mater and apply their knowledge so that it is useful for the nation and state. He also added that the fighting spirit of ITS graduates must not be extinguished so they can continue to compete globally. “Maintain the good name of the alma mater, apply your knowledge, and continue to struggle to be able to make the best contribution to the nation,” he advised.<\/p>\n

This 133rd Graduation event becomes clear evidence of ITS in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically point 4 related to Quality Education by producing superior graduates. In addition, ITS also supports the achievement of SDGs point 5 regarding Gender Equality through equal opportunities given to its students.<\/p>\n

In line with that, ITS is dedicated to ensuring the smooth learning process of its students through long-term investments in the ITS Endowment Fund. For this reason, this 133rd Graduation ceremony is equipped with a Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) barcode behind the chair of every graduate and guest. This also supports the sustainability of SDGs point 10 regarding Reduced Inequalities.<\/p>\n

No less importantly, ITS graduates are also prepared to become competent professionals ready to contribute to the nation while supporting SDGs point 8 regarding Decent Work and Economic Growth. The graduation of international students also reflects ITS’s efforts in realizing SDGs point 17 regarding Partnerships for the Goals. (ITS Public Relations)<\/strong><\/p>\n
