ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014<\/strong> Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> once again held the 1447 Hijriah ITS Large Family Halalbihalal as a momentum to strengthen the ties of the Campus of Heroes community, Monday (30\/3). This annual Eid gathering, held at Grha Sepuluh Nopember ITS, also affirms ITS’s commitment to continue contributing to the wider community.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Opening the event, ITS Rector Prof Dr (HC) Ir Bambang Pramujati ST MScEng PhD stated that this Halalbihalal serves as a space for collective reflection to strengthen collaboration within the institution. With the theme “Tough and Noble-Charactered Human Resources as a Pillar of Institutional Progress,” this momentum is expected to empower the ITS community in facing global complexities.<\/p>\n

In line with this, the 13th ITS Rector highlighted that the increase in ITS’s visibility at the global level is the result of contributions from all campus elements. According to him, these achievements reflect not only competence but also the spirit of the ITS community in contributing to human civilization. \u201cCollaboration between community members is the primary strength for moving forward together to face the future,\u201d he reminded.<\/p>\n

Consistent with Bambang, the Deputy General Chairperson of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), KH Muhammad Cholil Nafis, emphasized in his religious lecture (tausiyah) that the success of an institution must also be reviewed by the extent of the impact it can provide to society. According to him, science and technology are valuable when used to answer real societal needs. \u201cThe impact does not have to be large, but it must be felt and provide benefits,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He also linked the values of Ramadan as a process of forming human resources who are not only intellectually strong but also possess integrity and an orientation toward usefulness. The scholar from Madura explained that an impactful campus is born from individuals who have strong intentions and an orientation toward service.<\/p>\n

Echoing this statement, ITS, through the Ramadan di Kampus (RDK) 47<\/a> series and the ITS Manarul Ilmi Foundation (YMI), demonstrated its concern for the community through various forms of assistance. This year, RDK successfully distributed more than 3 tons of zakat and fidyah rice to the community. Meanwhile, YMI raised and distributed grants to more than 100 thousand recipients.<\/p>\n

The event also included the symbolic presentation of awards to three male hafiz and five female hafizah students representing a total of 14 award recipients, as well as three umrah packages for the ITS community. This appreciation is a manifestation of ITS’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically superior but also possess spiritual strength and character.<\/p>\n

This Halalbihalal reflects ITS’s concrete efforts in supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 17 regarding Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). This synergy is expected to strengthen ITS’s role as an institution that is not only excellent in education but also active in providing a real impact on the wider community.
