Menjawab tantangan tersebut, <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> terus berupaya mengembangkan inovasi energi berkelanjutan melalui riset berbasis teknologi.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/drpm\/en\/direktorat-riset-dan-pengabdian-kepada-masyarakat-its\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Direktur Riset dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (DRPM) ITS<\/a> Fadlilatul Taufany ST PhD menjelaskan bahwa ketahanan energi tidak hanya bergantung pada cadangan, tetapi juga kemampuan mengembangkan sumber energi alternatif lainnya. Salah satunya riset bahan bakar yang berbasis kelapa sawit melalui konversi <em>crude palm oil<\/em> (CPO) menjadi bensin biogasolin. Inovasi bensin biogasolin sawit ITS atau Benwit ini menjadi salah satu contoh pemanfaatan potensi domestik sebagai solusi energi alternatif yang mendukung kemandirian energi nasional.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, ITS juga mengembangkan berbagai inovasi energi terintegrasi melalui pembangunan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/its-bangun-proyek-reidi-living-laboratory-terbesar-di-indonesia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Renewable Energy Integration Demonstrator of Indonesia (REIDI)<\/a>. Fasilitas ini merupakan <em>living laboratory<\/em> energi terbarukan terbesar di Indonesia yang mengintegrasikan berbagai sumber energi seperti photovoltaic, agrovoltaic, biomassa, hingga hidrogen. \u201cREIDI dirancang untuk menjembatani riset dengan kebutuhan industri dan masyarakat,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui fasilitas tersebut, ITS tidak hanya berfokus pada pengembangan teknologi, tetapi juga pada pengujian dan implementasi dalam skala nyata. Proyek ini menghadirkan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (PLTS) apung nearshore pertama di Indonesia yang ditujukan untuk mendukung kemandirian energi di wilayah pesisir. \u201cPendekatan berbasis wilayah penting untuk memperluas akses energi bersih,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Sejalan dengan upaya tersebut, ITS juga mendorong diversifikasi energi melalui pengembangan berbagai sumber bahan bakar alternatif, seperti bioetanol, kendaraan listrik, hingga teknologi<a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/menilik-peran-teknik-material-dorong-transformasi-teknologi-otomotif\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <em>hydrogen fuel cell<\/em><\/a>. Kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi, pemerintah, dan industri menjadi faktor kunci dalam percepatan pengembangan teknologi energi. \u201cKolaborasi diperlukan agar inovasi dapat diimplementasikan secara luas,\u201d pungkas dosen <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\/tkimia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Departemen Teknik Kimia ITS tersebut.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Selain riset, melalui <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/stp\/en\/homepage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kawasan Sains Teknologi (KST) atau Science Techno Park (STP) Otomotif<\/a>, ITS juga melayani konversi kendaraan roda dua berbahan bakar bensin menjadi motor listrik berbasis baterai. Melalui bengkel konversi yang berdiri sejak tahun 2022 ini, ITS turut mendukung percepatan ekosistem kendaraan listrik nasional dan menyediakan solusi mobilitas yang lebih efisien serta ramah lingkungan bagi masyarakat. Hingga kini, bengkel ini telah berhasil mengonversi beberapa tipe sepeda motor mulai dari skutik, bebek, hingga <em>sport<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Kontribusi ITS dalam pengembangan energi berkelanjutan ini sejalan dengan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya poin ke-7 tentang Energi Bersih dan Terjangkau serta poin ke-13 tentang Penanganan Perubahan Iklim.
