Acara ini merupakan kerjasama antara Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) dan Himatika ITS. Aksi sosial yang diberi nama Blood Care Moment<em> <\/em>ini mengusung tema You Give Blood, You Give Life<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kegiatan ini sendiri bukan merupakan agenda rutin setiap tahun dari program kerja Himatika ITS. Acara kali ini digelar sehubungan dengan rangkaian kegiatan OMITS 2011. &quot;Tahun-tahun sebelumnya kami belum pernah mengadakan acara donor darah, baru tahun ini kami selenggarakan,&quot; terang Rindi Eka selaku Kepala Departemen Sosma Himatika.<\/p>\n<p>Eksistensi Sosma Himatika dalam melaksanakan kegiatan sosial tidak hanya terlihat pada acara donor darah ini saja. Sebelumnya, Sosma Himatika juga telah menyelenggarakan berbagai acara saat peringatan Hari Ibu dan Hari AIDS sedunia. Semua kegiatan sosial yang dilaksankan oleh Sosma Himatika berujuan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian sosial civitas kademika ITS.<\/p>\n<p>Pada kegiatan ini, panitia mentargetkan akan ada seratus pendonor yang bersedia mendaftarkan diri untuk menyumbangkan darahnya. Namun melihat banyaknya mahasiswa yang antusias dengan kegiatan ini, bukan tidak mungkin bila jumlah pendonor akan melebihi target. &quot;Jika melihat dari banyaknya yang ingin menjadi pendonor, angka seratus bisa terlewati,&quot; pungkas Rindi yakin.<\/p>\n<p>Banyaknya para pendonor yang mendaftarkan diri sudah terlihat sejak pagi. Pendonor yang sebagian besar adalah mahasiswa ini mengaku bahwa sebelumnya mereka telah sering melakukan donor darah. &quot;Saya sudah berkali-kali mendonorkan darah,&quot; aku Satya, mahasiswa Teknik Elektro yang juga salah satu pendonor.
