ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014 <\/span><\/strong>The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS)<\/span><\/a> has once again confirmed the quality of its students at a prestigious national event. Aldiez Rizkia Centrinova, a student in the Department of Information Systems, became the only ITS student to successfully delegate to the Hyundai Eco Summit 2025 and received the Most Outstanding Delegate 2nd Place award, presented directly by Chang Haelim, Vice President of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Hyundai Eco Summit 2025 is a program initiated directly by HMMI as part of the company’s commitment to education, sustainability, and the development of young talent in environmentally friendly technologies. The event will be held on November 15-16, 2025, at the Nemuru Grand Bhuana Hotel in Ciawi, West Java.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the main agenda items was the Model United Nations (MUN) competition, which served as a simulation of international diplomacy on the theme of clean energy and future technology. Of more than 3,000 applicants from universities across Indonesia, only 70 delegates were ultimately selected, with a competitive edge of approximately 2.5 percent. In this rigorous selection process, Aldiez was the only ITS student to successfully qualify and represent the Campus of Heroes at the forum.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the MUN session, Aldiez was assigned to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) as the Brazilian delegate on the topic of Advancing Hydrogen Technology for a Low-Carbon Future. At the forum, he led the negotiations between three major blocs: the UK, India, and Brazil. The three countries have sharp differences regarding hydrogen funding schemes, technology access, and clean energy research priorities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aldiez explained that his role is to find common ground amid the differing interests of developed and developing countries. “I want to ensure that discussions about hydrogen focus not only on technology, but also on climate justice for all countries,” Aldiez said.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the competition, delegates also received a first-hand presentation on Hyundai’s educational pillars from HMMI External Affairs Manager Aderiza Brahman. In the session, Aderiza explained how Hyundai is building an educational ecosystem that aligns with the company’s vision of developing electric vehicle technology in Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aderiza explained that Hyundai strives to create a comprehensive learning pathway through the Hyundai Academy Course program, technical training, and scholarships designed to strengthen the capacity of the younger generation in the automotive sector. “The company’s investment in education is not only a form of social responsibility, but also a long-term strategy to develop future talent ready to face the industry’s transformation,” he emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

The series of activities continued with an Eco Workshop, a hands-on session that introduced participants to the process of processing plants into environmentally friendly natural dyes. In this workshop, delegates were introduced to techniques for extracting colors from various plants that can be used in eco-friendly crafts and designs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop provided participants with hands-on experience, demonstrating how sustainability concepts can be implemented through simple innovations with real impact. Delegates were also encouraged to understand the importance of reducing chemical waste and how the use of natural dyes can be a more sustainable alternative.<\/span><\/p>\n

Concluding his participation in the 2025 Hyundai Eco Summit, Aldiez expressed his pride and gratitude for being selected as the sole delegate from ITS and for winning an award at this prestigious national event. “I am very happy to represent ITS as the sole representative among 70 selected delegates from across Indonesia,” he said proudly.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to receiving this prestigious award, Aldiez also said he learned a lot about climate diplomacy, hydrogen technology, and the future of clean energy. “This experience has motivated me to continue developing and contributing to the campus and the nation,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n
