Acara ini dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan wawasan kerja dan <em>soft skill <\/em>mahasiswa Teknik Sipil. Sedikitnya ada lebih dari lima puluh mahasiswa yang menghadiri workshop tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Acara ini mengundang tiga pembicara sekaligus, dua diantaranya adalah alumni ITS yakni Ir Djoko Eko Santoso&nbsp; dari PT Margaraya Jawa Tol dan Ferry Purba Satriya MT dari PT Guna Bangun Jaya. Keduanya tak hanya menyampaikan materi tentang keprofesian bidang teknik sipil tapi juga motivasi dan <em>entrepreneurship<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Pada workshop ini, para mahasiswa yang menjadi peserta diberikan kesempatan untuk bertanya jawab dengan pembicara. Salah satu hal yang ditanyakan oleh mahasiswa adalah polemik seputar pembangunan tol tengah Kota Surabaya yang saat ini sedang menuai banyak pro-kontra.<\/p>\n<p>Beberapa hal yang menjadi pertanyaan adalah tentang keefektifan proyek tersebut dalam mengatasi kemacetan. Lebih dari itu mahasiswa juga menanyakan tentang dampak proyek ini terhadap sektor-sektor lain.<\/p>\n<p>Ir Djoko Eko yang merupakan investor dalam proyek yang kabarnya bernilai Rp 7,2 triliyun ini mencoba menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaaan tersebut. Dirinya menerangkan bahwa segala aspek telah dipertimbangkan dalam perencanaan tol tengah Kota Surabaya ini. &quot;Mulai dari keefektifannya dalam mengatasi kemacetan, hingga pertimbangan lain tentang penyediaan jalur untuk transportasi masal,&quot; ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Eko juga mengaku pihaknya juga telah mempertimbangkan aspek lain seperti lingkungan dan drainase. Ia mengatakan bahwa proyek ini tidak akan meniadakan pohon-pohon besar di Jalan Raya Ahmad Yani. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Kami akan memindahkan pohon tersebut ke kiri dan kanan jalan, semua aspek telah kami pertimbangkan termasuk aspek lingkungan. <em>Thrust me<\/em>!,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d terang Eko memberikan keyakinan kepada mahasiswa.<\/p>\n<p>Workshop keprofesian 2010 ini dinilai cukup berhasil menarik antusiasme mahasiswa teknik sipil. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Peserta yang hadir di workshop ini melebihi kuota yang disediakan, ini menunjukkan mahasiswa antusias,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d ujar Denny Ervianto selaku ketua panitia acara ini.
