ITS Campus, ITS News<\/span><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/span>The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is further cementing its reputation as a top technology university through the achievements of its leading teams. This time, the Spektronics team, ITS’s flagship chemical reaction-based\u00a0<\/span>prototype<\/span><\/em>\u00a0car team , won two championships at the Indonesian Chemical Reaction Car Development Challenge (Ichedece) Ecodays UNS 2025 on Sunday (October 5).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

ITS Spektronics Team Manager Nayla Muli Fathia explained that her team fielded a Spektronics car called ASEP in this competition. The name comes from the car’s launch in September. ASEP is equipped with a new formula that optimizes its performance. “We have a new formula for the Al-Air Battery to improve its performance, allowing it to be reused over and over again,” explained the student, known as Muli.<\/p>\n

The ASEP prototype car made by the ITS Spektronics team succeeded in becoming the 1st runner up of Ichedece and Best Presentation at the Ichedece Ecodays UNS 2025 event.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

With three months of preparation, ITS Spektronics was able to optimize the previously rarely used Chameleon Clock reaction. The Chameleon Clock reaction works by reacting potassium permanganate and sucrose with variations to obtain precise timing data. Thus, the team was able to make significant progress on the car that entered the national competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The car made by the Spektronics team managed to excel in the accumulation of points\u00a0<\/span>for car’s concept<\/span><\/em>\u00a0,\u00a0<\/span>safety<\/span><\/em>\u00a0,\u00a0<\/span>race<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>presentation<\/span><\/em>\u00a0. Thanks to this, the Kampus Pahlawan\u00a0<\/span>chem-e-car<\/span><\/em>\u00a0team managed to secure the 1st Runner Up position and received the Best Presentation award in the 2025 UNS Ecodays Ichedece. Competing with 18 teams from all over Indonesia with advisor Prof. Hamzah Fansuri SSi MSi PhD, as well as the founder of the ITS Spektronics team.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ITS Spektronics Team successfully brought home two championship titles at the Indonesian Chemical Reaction Car Development Challenge (Ichedece) Ecodays UNS 2025 competition.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This victory also serves as concrete evidence of ITS’s commitment to supporting the implementation of\u00a0<\/span>Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0point 7, which concerns clean and affordable energy, through the development of environmentally friendly energy sources. “We hope that Spektronics will continue to be a source of pride both nationally and internationally, and will always maintain its vision as ‘The Catalyst of Innovation,'” concluded the 2024 student.\u00a0<\/span>(ITS Public Relations)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
