Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2013 <\/strong>Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> kembali menorehkan prestasi akademik membanggakan di kancah internasional. Jika tahun lalu hanya berjumlah empat orang, tahun ini sebanyak lima dosen ITS berhasil masuk dalam daftar World Top 2% Scientist versi Stanford University dan Elsevier Report 2025.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Daftar bergengsi ini menempatkan para peneliti terpilih sebagai dua persen ilmuwan teratas dari jutaan peneliti di seluruh dunia. Kelima dosen ITS yang berhasil masuk dalam daftar tersebut adalah Prof Ir I Nyoman Pujawan MEng PhD CSCP dari Departemen Teknik Sistem dan Industri, Prof Drs Ec Ir Riyanarto Sarno MSc PhD dan Prof Tohari Ahmad SKom MIT PhD dari Departemen Teknik Informatika, serta Prof Adi Setyo Purnomo MSc PhD dan Prof Dra Ratna Ediati PhD dari Departemen Kimia.<\/p>\n

Dalam daftar ini, Prof Drs Ec Ir Riyanarto Sarno MSc PhD dari Departemen Teknik Informatika ITS kembali memperpanjang rekornya dengan 667 sitasi sepanjang 2024 di bidang Artificial Intelligence<\/em> dan Image Processing<\/em>. Riyanarto sendiri berhasil masuk dalam daftar World\u2019s Top 2% Scientist Single-year Impact sejak 2020 hingga 2025, dan tahun 2025 ini meraih pengakuan bergengsi pada kategori Career-long Impact yang menilai konsistensi kontribusi riset sepanjang karier. Sementara itu, Prof Ir I Nyoman Pujawan MEng PhD CSCP menorehkan 308 sitasi pada tahun yang sama melalui kontribusinya di bidang Operations Research<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Bersanding dengan keduanya, Prof Tohari Ahmad SKom MIT PhD turut kembali masuk jajaran ilmuwan berpengaruh dengan 290 sitasi sepanjang 2024. Dari rumpun sains murni, dua guru besar Departemen Kimia juga menorehkan prestasi membanggakan. Yakni Prof Adi Setyo Purnomo MSc PhD mencatat 242 sitasi di bidang General Physics<\/em>, sedangkan Prof Dra Ratna Ediati PhD yang baru masuk daftar memperoleh 390 sitasi di bidang General Chemistry<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Pencapaian ini semakin menegaskan peran ITS sebagai perguruan tinggi riset yang mampu bersaing secara global. Pengakuan dunia terhadap kiprah akademisi ITS menjadi bukti bahwa hasil penelitian tidak hanya berkontribusi secara akademik, tetapi juga diakui dalam komunitas ilmiah internasional.<\/p>\n

Menanggapi capaian ini, Direktur Riset dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (DRPM) ITS Fadlilatul Taufany ST PhD mengapresiasi prestasi para dosen tersebut. Menurutnya, pengakuan internasional ini membuktikan bahwa riset ITS tidak hanya bernilai akademik, tetapi juga berdampak nyata bagi dunia. \u201cPrestasi ini menjadi pijakan penting bagi ITS untuk terus melahirkan riset berkualitas dan peneliti unggul,\u201d ujar dosen Departemen Teknik Kimia ITS<\/a> itu.<\/p>\n

Lebih lanjut, Taufany menuturkan bahwa capaian ini akan menjadi pemacu ITS untuk memperkuat budaya riset dan publikasi internasional. Kolaborasi dengan industri dan institusi global pun akan terus diperluas demi meningkatkan daya saing. \u201cDengan begitu, ITS dapat melahirkan peneliti unggul yang memberi kontribusi nyata bagi bangsa,\u201d pungkasnya.<\/p>\n

Sebagai catatan, World Top 2% Scientist merupakan pemeringkatan global yang dilakukan oleh Stanford University bersama Elsevier Report berdasarkan metrik sitasi yang terstandardisasi. Data mencakup jumlah sitasi publikasi, peran penulis tunggal, pertama, maupun terakhir.<\/p>\n

Dengan capaian ini, ITS semakin mengukuhkan diri sebagai kampus inovatif yang melahirkan peneliti-peneliti unggul. Ke depan, prestasi ini diharapkan menjadi inspirasi bagi sivitas akademika ITS untuk terus menghasilkan riset berkualitas dan berdampak luas. Hal ini sekaligus mendukung tercapainya Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/a>, khususnya poin ke-4 tentang pendidikan berkualitas. (HUMAS ITS)<\/strong><\/p>\n
