Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2014 <\/b>Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> terus meneguhkan langkah sebagai kampus riset kolaboratif berorientasi global. Kali ini, guna mempererat kerja sama dengan Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Departemen Teknik Sistem dan Industri (DTSI) ITS<\/a> menggelar kegiatan Global Exploration Opportunities (GEO).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ketua Laboratorium Sistem Manufaktur DTSI ITS Prof Maria <\/span>Anityasari ST ME memaparkan bahwa GEO tahun ini berfokus pada analisis dan observasi permasalahan transportasi bus Kota Surabaya. <\/span>Tujuan ini tercermin sejak awal lewat pembukaannya yang diawali dengan pembekalan mengenai tantangan dan permasalahan transportasi Kota Surabaya. Hal ini ditekankan karena persoalan transportasi tersebut nyata terjadi di lapangan dan perlu segera dicarikan solusi yang efektif.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lebih lanjut, Maria membagikan, pada kegiatan ini mahasiswa dibimbing untuk memahami permasalahan nyata untuk merumuskan solusi berupa inovasi dari permasalahan yang ditemukan. Lewat kegiatan ini, masing-masing universitas dapat bertukar pandang untuk mencari solusi yang lebih komprehensif. \u201cSerta memperluas wawasan antar mahasiswa karena adanya perbedaan kultural di antara mereka,\u201d jelasnya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dari program ini, mahasiswa ITS dan SUTD akan memperoleh lima materi sebagai bekal penyelesaian permasalahan pada hari berikutnya. Materi tersebut meliputi<\/span> Data Analytics and Forecasting, System Modeling and Uncertainty Modeling, Operation Research, Future Mobile Sensing Technology, <\/span><\/i>serta <\/span>Electric Vehicles in Indonesian Context.<\/span><\/i> Seluruh materi ini dipersiapkan untuk mendukung analisis isu-isu transportasi bus di Surabaya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Usai mendapatkan materi, sebanyak 60 peserta dibagi menjadi enam kelompok dengan\u00a0 masing-masing satu studi kasus transportasi bus. Setiap kelompok memperoleh dana Rp 150 ribu untuk menjelajahi Kota Surabaya menggunakan berbagai moda bus yang tersedia. Mahasiswa ini selanjutnya diajak mengunjungi Dinas Perhubungan Kota Surabaya agar lebih memahami kendala di lapangan lewat data secara langsung.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tak hanya berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, Maria mengakui, program ini sejalan dengan Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)<\/a> poin ke-11 tentang kota dan komunitas berkelanjutan. Ke depan, agenda tahunan ini juga diharapkan dapat membantu mengurangi kemacetan lalu lintas di Surabaya lewat pengaplikasian solusi yang telah dirumuskan. Kolaborasi ini juga sekaligus diharapkan dapat menjaga keharmonisan kemitraan antara ITS dan SUTD dalam riset, teknologi, dan pendidikan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Selain berfokus pada isu transportasi, kegiatan ini juga memperkaya pengalaman lintas budaya lewat pengenalan budaya nusantara kepada mahasiswa SUTD. Budaya yang diperkenalkan mencakup pembelajaran bahasa, tarian, dan permainan tradisional Indonesia. \u201cDengan adanya program budaya ini, diharapkan mahasiswa ITS dapat membangun koneksi yang lebih intens dengan mahasiswa SUTD,\u201d tutup Maria.\u00a0(*)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
