Menyikapi hal ini, tim mahasiswa dari <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/2025\/02\/23\/kenalkan-rumpun-elektro-dan-komputer-its-gelar-computer-and-electrical-exhibition\/\">Departemen Teknik Elektro<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\">Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a><span>\u00a0mengembangkan inovasi perangkap ikan otomatis berbasis energi surya.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ketua tim Aditya Surya Eka Pratama mengungkapkan bahwa nelayan pesisir Kenjeran, Kelurahan Kedung Cowek, Surabaya selama ini masih mengandalkan metode manual dalam menangkap ikan. Cara tersebut dinilai kurang efisien dan cukup berisiko bagi kesehatan karena nelayan harus menyelam sendiri untuk memasang serta mengangkat perangkap. \u201cOleh karena itu, kami merancang alat ini agar bisa digunakan siapa pun, termasuk nelayan berusia lanjut,\u201d ujar Aditya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alat bernama Solar Photovoltaic Fish Trap ini, paparnya, bekerja dengan memanfaatkan panel surya berkapasitas 600 watt-peak (Wp) sebagai sumber energi utama. Energi tersebut disimpan dalam baterai dan digunakan untuk menjalankan mesin penarik beban (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">winch<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">). \u201cPengoperasiannya cukup dengan menggunakan dua tombol untuk menurunkan dan mengangkat jaring perangkap,\u201d terang mahasiswa angkatan 2022 tersebut.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lebih lanjut, Aditya menjelaskan bahwa alat tersebut dilengkapi dengan lampu bawah air yang menyala saat perangkap berada di dasar laut. Selain itu, timnya juga memberikan pelatihan mengenai cara penggunaan dan perawatan alat, mulai dari pembersihan panel surya hingga pengecekan kabel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ia pun menguraikan bahwa pada awal penggunaan alat tersebut terjadi peningkatan efisiensi yang signifikan. Jika sebelumnya nelayan harus menunggu dua hingga tiga hari untuk mengangkat perangkap, kini panen dapat dilakukan setiap hari. Selain itu, perangkap ini dapat dipindah ke lokasi potensial sesuai musim migrasi ikan. \u201cIni tentunya jauh lebih fleksibel dibanding perangkap konvensional yang menetap,\u201d lanjut Aditya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Selain memberi dampak langsung pada produktivitas nelayan, inovasi tersebut juga mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Dukungan ini terutama tercermin pada SDG ke-7 tentang energi bersih dan terjangkau, SDG ke-8 tentang pekerjaan layak dan pertumbuhan ekonomi, serta SDG ke-17 tentang kemitraan untuk mencapai tujuan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Di akhir, Aditya memandang bahwa inovasi yang menerima pendanaan dari Pertamina Foundation Muda ini merupakan wujud kolaborasi antara teknologi dan pemberdayaan masyarakat.
