Kali ini, ITS berkolaborasi dengan Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit (BPDPKS) melalui tiga inovasi teknologi untuk mempercepat pengembangan ekosistem sawit berkelanjutan di Indonesia.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Salah satu ketua tim peneliti dari ITS Dr Lila Yuwana SSi MSi menjelaskan bahwa ketiga inovasi ini merupakan hasil dari program Grand Riset Sawit (GRS) tahun 2023 yang didanai penuh oleh BPDPKS. \u201cSkema GRS ini sangat strategis karena memungkinkan riset <em>multi-year<\/em> yang menjangkau dari hulu hingga hilir dan berdampak langsung ke masyarakat,\u201d terangnya.<\/p>\n<p>Salah satu inovasi unggulan berasal dari timnya Dr rer nat Ir Maya Shovitri berupa iFovib-G, yakni robot cerdas yang mampu mendeteksi penyakit <em>Ganoderma boninense<\/em> sejak dini. Mengusung nama Egrek Merah Putih, alat ini memiliki sensor sudut, sistem bantu potong, serta kamera pendeteksi tingkat kematangan buah berbasis <em>machine learning<\/em>. Dosen Teknik Sistem dan Industri ITS mengungkapkan bahwa inovasi ini dirancang untuk mengatasi ketergantungan terhadap egrek (alat yang digunakan dalam pemanenan kelapa sawit) impor serta meningkatkan efisiensi panen.<\/p>\n<p>Menjawab tantangan pengangkutan tandan buah segar (TBS), ITS juga menghadirkan <em>Electric Wheelbarrow<\/em>, yakni gerobak angkut listrik yang dikembangkan oleh tim yang diketuai Dr Lila Yuwana SSi MSi dari Departemen Fisika. Hasilnya, para petani merespons positif berkat efisiensi kerja dan pengurangan kelelahan fisik. Produk-produk ini pun tengah disiapkan untuk proses komersialisasi melalui Asosiasi Inventor Indonesia (AII) setelah masa riset berakhir pada 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Kolaborasi antara ITS dan BPDPKS ini menjadi wujud nyata bagaimana riset akademik dapat menjawab tantangan nasional. Dengan terus mendorong hilirisasi inovasi, ITS berharap mampu memperkuat peran perguruan tinggi dalam mendukung sektor sawit yang lebih berkelanjutan, efisien, dan mandiri.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui ketiga inovasi tersebut, ITS turut mendukung pencapaian <em>Sustainable Development Goals <\/em>(SDGs).
