Menjawab tantangan tersebut, Guru Besar ke-221 <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\">Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> Prof Dr Eng Rony Seto Wibowo ST MT mengkaji sistem optimisasi guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan keandalan sistem kelistrikan berbasis EBT.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dalam orasi ilmiahnya yang berjudul Mengawal Transisi Energi dengan Optimisasi, Rony menegaskan bahwa optimisasi sistem tenaga listrik menjadi kunci dalam pencapaian Net Zero Emission (NZE). Langkah ini sejalan dengan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/sdg\/id\/\">Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)<\/a> poin 7 tentang energi bersih dan terjangkau serta poin13 tentang penanganan perubahan iklim. \u201cUpaya ini memastikan transisi energi berjalan lebih efektif tanpa mengorbankan keandalan pasokan listrik,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui penelitiannya tersebut, Rony mengembangkan metode baru dalam alokasi dan koordinasi kontrol <em>Flexible AC Transmission System<\/em> (FACTS) untuk sistem tenaga listrik berbasis EBT. Dengan strategi ini, FACTS dapat beradaptasi terhadap fluktuasi daya dari pembangkit energi terbarukan, sehingga meningkatkan keandalan sistem secara keseluruhan.<\/p>\n<p>Selain FACTS, Rony juga meneliti metode optimisasi untuk <em>microgrid<\/em>, sistem listrik skala kecil yang dapat beroperasi secara independen berbasis EBT dan baterai sebagai penyimpan energi. Ia mengembangkan metode <em>Dynamic Economic Dispatch<\/em> (DED) untuk menentukan daya optimal yang harus dihasilkan oleh setiap pembangkit agar kebutuhan listrik terpenuhi dengan biaya serendah mungkin.<\/p>\n<p>Metode ini diintegrasikan dengan <em>Quadratic Programming<\/em> (QP) untuk menemukan solusi terbaik dalam pengalokasian daya di <em>microgrid<\/em>. Rony menguji berbagai skenario untuk menganalisis pengaruh kondisi cuaca dan penggunaan baterai terhadap total biaya pembangkitan listrik. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa faktor cuaca sangat berpengaruh terhadap pembangkit EBT, karena bergantung pada radiasi matahari, suhu, dan kecepatan angin.<\/p>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan baterai sebagai cadangan energi mampu menekan biaya operasional secara berarti. &#8220;Alih-alih mengandalkan generator diesel yang masih bergantung pada bahan bakar fosil, penggunaan baterai dapat lebih efisien dan ramah lingkungan,&#8221; jelas Rony.<\/p>\n<p>Penelitian ini menjadi bagian dari kontribusi Rony sebagai guru besar ITS dalam mendukung pengembangan energi bersih di Indonesia.
